It’s set in the request/response. I made a simple servlet showing whole request for other purposes and found this cookie set

3 hours later…
12:18 PM
@BbIKTOP well, usually cookie are set via the source code that set it; ie; PHP. at that point I would check your code base to spotcheck the code.

12:36 PM
Man, i am programmer with over 30 years experience. I do know there’s no MY code which sets this cookie. There’s just apache and resin, that’s all. Maybe apache module?
I did strings|grep for all modules but found nothing

it could be, but googling that find nothing and apache is opensource, so somehow it would had been indexed by google I guess.
well, just found one thing, and it's another user that wonder what that cookie is
if you google translate the page, its just a question about that cookie

apache is 'just' a web server. If anything, its probably in the application.
https://www.google.com/search?q=resin app server cookie
Suggests it might be resin?

12:55 PM
it could be resin, in the page I found the user talk resin too

apache has a lot of modules, it could be there. Wow, it's chinese (((
the ony cookie resin sets is the JSESSIONID for sessions tracking
but who knows
no answers as well...
Wow. Looks I found it. not sure though
it appears with edge only
probably
yes, just with edge
will grep it's binary lol

hehehe

no matches in eagle
but it is set with eagle only. checked with firefox, safari, opera and chrome
dmn
how could it be?

1:39 PM
edge, or edge chromium ? if edge it block a lot of thing and try to encapsulate for security reason, which make it less compliant to what other browser do.
if edge chromium, I would try chromium browser to see if it show the same pattern

1:53 PM
have no idea what is the difference. I downloaded it for testing from ms edge downloads site
it's for macos
didn't try chromium, but with chrome there's no such cookie

ok, if you downloaded it, it's edge based of chromium's code
the other edge is the one built-in in win10 originally

2:45 PM
just checked - under win10 ive got the same chromium based edge
