@Wolff nah, that must have been my own melancholia failing to see the humour in there

@Vincent Melancholia is the foundation for the best humor.

@Wolff The mood, I suppose, not the movie? :)

@Vincent You're thinking that as a person living in The Kingdom of Denmark I can't say a sentence without secretly including a Lars von Trier title?

Happy Fourth! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Hi Wolff
I have a question. Can I answer a closed question? 0r this is against the rules?

3:09 PM
@RussianBlue I'm not sure ...
If it's "against the rules" you won't be able to. I don't think you can. You have to vote for reopening the question.
Which question is it?
@Welz Ah took me a while to understand that. Hehe. Happy independence!

Q: Illustrator - make area of an image within a shape transparent

D-MoneyI'm new to Illustrator and struggling to solve this issue. I've created this image and I'm trying to make the area covered by the top layer (the white cloudy part with the circular cutout) transparent. Not just that shape itself, but everything within the area of that shape should be transparent,...

@RussianBlue It's not closed!

Joojaa means that the linked question is close to being a duplicate.

Oh I see. So this one is not closed?
all good then?

3:14 PM
@RussianBlue No. If it's closed it will have "[closed]" in the end of the title.
Can you see closed questions? Not sure if it's dependent on reputation points.

Yes.. yess. I can see the difference now.
Thank you so much.

@RussianBlue No problemo. But you can't cast close or reopen votes before you have above 3000 reputation points it seems.

I am only crazy enough to ss the notification When my Crush likes my photo and comments. (used to, not anymore), I dnt want any of those points! or reputations. :D
I made mistake, I thought this one is closed.
So I asked.

@RussianBlue Perhaps you don't want them, but they will come naturally as you ask and answer more questions. Getting privileges isn't so much about having "power". It's more about getting more involved in keeping the site going. Cleaning out the noise.
@RussianBlue, btw ... about that "drawing in Photoshop" question of yours ...

Oh Okay! I understand now. I am still baby then. only 1800 points.
@Wolff what about that?

3:22 PM
That example you showed: i.stack.imgur.com/OAVb1.jpg

yes yes... any thing wrong? :'(

It really looks like something best made in Illustrator (or InDesign)
I mean it's not something I would ever use Photoshop for.
I would never make anything like typography, a logo, a design for print in Photoshop, but in InDesign and/or Illustrator.

See all the layers? They are PSD

@RussianBlue Sure, but it's just a strange choice to us PS for something like this in my opinion.

I totally am with you, Craziest people would draw it in photoshop.

3:25 PM
I use Photoshop to manipulate photos and scanned drawings and perhaps to "paint" something.

You know I ask that in Adobe Community as well. None of them Could relate! And one Adobe professional said he never saw anything in his life :D

It's confusing that Photoshop has so many tools that it shouldn't have. πŸ˜€
@RussianBlue What did you ask?

@Wolff haha

I mean you can draw vector, you can do 3D, video ... why?

@Wolff Same question! Like here. But I was emphasizing more about After effects. There you cans see mask beneath the main layer. but in my AE no mask was beneath photoshop.
@Wolff Lol. I think its too much.
