Why are mathematicians mainly focusing on the Riemann hypothesis? Why not on, say, the Yang-Mills existence and the mass gap or the Hodge conjecture? I know that some work is done on these, but there are books and books and tons of articles written on the RH, but few on these( in comparison to RH)? Are these less important than the RH?
