Q: Where can I find an expert who is able to verify the proof of the Collatz Conjecture?

Kurmet SultanI'm looking for an expert who is able to test my manuscript "The Proof of the Collatz Conjecture" and give a recommendation for publication in the peer-reviewed mathematical journal, as the editors want to submit a recommendation from a well-known mathematician to review my manuscript. The manus...

> The manuscript in which to prove the Collatz Conjecture, also called Problem 3x + 1, can be read from the link:[https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Byj3oH0oUt2mTmNCR2cyaUg4d3M.][1]
Question: Where can I find an expert who is able to verify the proof of the Collatz Conjecture?
Any takers? :-)
Although this seems like a reasonable advice both for the OP and for anybody who would decide to start reading something like that:
First, check the list here: scottaaronson.com/blog/?p=304 and make sure your article fulfills the guidelines. In particular, if it is not typeset in LaTeX, no-one is gonna read it. — Per Alexandersson 4 mins ago

@MartinSleziak wow, 49 pages
To be clear, I posted it here merely as a curiosity.
@MartinSleziak I might try to read through it
The MO post has been already deleted - which was to be expected.
It seems to be the same thing as this: vixra.org/abs/1708.0177
13:06
@MartinSleziak the authors are the same
The same person posted on vixra also a paper which alleges to prove Lonely runner conjecture, however that one is in Russian.

@MartinSleziak typos... what the hell
P.2 DEFINITIONS
It is known that, all odd numbers, except 1 and odd numbers multiply to 3, can be ...
the formatting is really poor. but I think I can deal with it
13:46
@MartinSleziak the first apparent mistake is mapping 6 to 19 (treating 6 as odd) instead of dividing it by 2

@MartinSleziak who is the SE user, do you recall? wasnt able to get to the post pg before deleted. suggest inviting these people into chat room(s).
@vzn unregistered user, but you can see his name in the vixra links.
In fact, you can probably still see cached version of the post.

@LeakyNun @AkivaWeinberger @SteamyRoot @Daminark @BalarkaSen welcome to the room itd be great if you introduce yourselves, hope you can drop by regularly :)

@LeakyNun cool where are you going? what country? what are you studying? adding this stuff to your profile would be nice/ helpful. :)
@vzn I should probably do so.
vzn
vzn
@MartinSleziak dont recall ever seeing "unregistered user" before, is that MO specific? strange
@vzn updated
@vzn On math.SE you have to be registered in order to post a question (but not in order to post an answer): Let's require registration to ask a question. Most sites in SE network do not have this restriction.
vzn
vzn
@LeakyNun thx cool impressive :) are you going to study math? what country are you in right now?
18:41
@vzn yes (updated); HK
vzn
vzn
@LeakyNun not too many ists arond we gotta stick together :)
@MartinSleziak huh. didnt he post the question, pointing to his own paper?
Yes, he did. On MathOverflow.
Mathoverflow does not have the requirement that you have to be registered. See meta.MO: Should MathOverflow require registration to ask a question?
vzn
vzn
@MartinSleziak ok. is there anything that describes what an unregistered user is? still seems "account-like"
What you mean by "describes".
There are many differences. You can quite easily lost access to your posts without registration. Unregistered users cannot delete their posts. Simply browse the tag unregistered-users on meta.SE if you want to know more.
There were a few questions also on our local meta.

@Daminark hi how did you hear about the room, guessing did balarka recruit all you guys?
I think it was Leaky
Balarka and I had our own room for a while
vzn
vzn
@Daminark did you guys hang out in another room? meet in Mathematics rooms?
We were working through Weil's NT for beginners
vzn
vzn
@Daminark looks like great book :) ... balarka hangs out also in Physics but rarely talks about thought he might have given up on it lol
It's quality. It's one of those short run through books, and it's pretty elementary to start with, only introduces algebra part of the way through, but I liked it
He hasn't been doing as much NT in recent times
I met him in Math
But at the time he was into algebraic topology, starting to break into geometry a bit
Like I was surprised that he used to do NT
Yeah, it's that. Be careful about "Basic Number Theory", that book is ridiculous
Like it's all about class field theory
vzn
vzn
he had another great book recommendation trying to find it
Yo @Balarka!
vzn
vzn
you mathematicians seem seriously cyber-social, if only could get the Computer Science guys to live up to same potential :|

Which are you more into @vzn?

@Daminark like lots of stuff :) cf blog vzn1.wordpress.com
