@Jamiec re earlier; I suspected a , but it's been sorted now on MSE; it just needed a mod action to close the flag

@ymb1 -- Ok, but that last link you sent me shows only two rooms, "the Hangar" and the second room I was asking about. What is it about the url that is specifying to show just that one particular room, plus the Hangar? I sure don't understand this stuff very well.
I sure don't understand this stuff very well. But more than "how does it all work", my main question is more like "how would someone who has not recently left any comments easily navigate to all the rooms that pertain to discussion on questions or answers, generated by the "click to automatically move this discussion to chat" (or whatever the exact wording is), with the most recently active rooms listed first, without having to page back three pages?"
Or alternatively it would be fine to just see all the rooms, regardless of how they got started, just so long as were listed in order of recent activity and there's no need to go back through several pages of rooms that have been inactive for months--

RE What is it about the url that is specifying to show just that one particular room
only those two are showing because they are not frozen

Because none of these rooms are "private" right? As long as a room has not been closed for inactivity, anyone can join it, even if it just started as a result of discussion in comments between (for example) two particular people--

frozen rooms are useless anyways because you can't send messages in them

OK re your last, I see. Those are the ONLY unfrozen rooms. OK that helps lots. I get it now. Thanks.
OK that probably clears it all up adequately, thanks.

of course if you're engaged in a discussion in a room, it's just easier to bookmark that room until the discussion is sorted

Q: Add the ability to retract reopen and delete votes

NaftaliIt seems that now we can retract close votes but we cannot retract reopen votes or delete votes. I am trying to retract my reopen vote here but it does not allow me to. Can we have that ability?

NOTAM: this is new-ish, since last Nov, but it's new to me, and it's a good feature!

@ymb1 (and everyone else) -- yes just one last comment, lots of users might find it helpful if there were a "see only unfrozen rooms" tab or something like that on the home page for the chat rooms. Particularly due to the current need to scroll back through pages of frozen rooms to find other unfrozen rooms, as noted in my chat posts immediately above. Ok, that's all, good evening everyone.

@quietflyer such button exists, one moment to upload screenshot:
it toggles
but it's not on the "mobile" chat, so if using mobile, either a) bookmark the URL I gave earlier b) click the barely perceptible hamburger menu (top-left) and switch to full-site and back again...

@ymb1 -- my screen looks totally different. It used to look like that (can't remember if I ever noticed or used that toggle button) but now it looks totally different. Don't know how to put it back. I don't see any rectangular boxes like the one on the left side of your screen shot. I just see a long list chat rooms, with about three lines of text devoted to each, arranged from top to bottom of screen, and I can't find any button that would toggle like that.
So how to get back to a mode like the one you sent a screenshot from?
@ymb1 -- OH OK I HAD TO GO TO "SETTINGS" and click on "FULL SITE" to toggle out of (mobile?) mode. OK everything is much more intuitive from the full site mode. Good to be back there.

yes that's the "barely perceptible hamburger menu (top-left)"
:D

I tried clicking on it before but was looking for something more like "change display option", should have realized that the phrase "full site" was a toggle and would send me TO full site mode. I thought it was listing my settings and showing that it WAS in full site mode. Maybe. I dunno. Anyway good to be back in full site mode.
Oh and now I can reply to SPECIFIC chat messages again. And I can see when my message is too long and won't be sent, rather than just noticing it didn't send and just trying deleting words or sentences from end and trying again and see if it sends. Yes everything works so much better here now!
