Well, ok, cell phone is useless for ASE chat, can't see screen while typing.

It seems that sometimes when I post a comment to my own answer under a question that has not been recently active, it attracts posts or edits or comments from other users. What is going on there? What viewing mode or viewing options flag other ASE users of a recent change when I leave a comment (with no "@ so-and-so" tag) under one of my own answers? Thanks.

Or must it be just by random chance that someone was looking at the answer and noticed the comment? Still learning about all the features of this site, obviously.
