I have a cynical question. :D

Are there any incidents where a contributing factor was the two pilots' yokes being linked, and the incident would not have happened if the pilots had unlinked sidesticks instead?

@TerranSwett This one might qualify. The FO dropped his mic which jammed the controls (I’m assuming the yoke) and the PF couldn’t control the elevator.

I wonder how they found out what caused that one. Did they actually find the mic in the controls?

@TerranSwett I don’t know. That’s about all the info I could find on it. They didn’t have the extensive investigation and reports back then.
