@ymb1 Its no problem. I'm careful to not be too heavy handed with dealing with flags here. Other mods dont like it. I try to leave the LQQ, NAA ones alone

You don't have to explain if it's obvious to others, but what does the inspection has to do with the fees you're paying the DPE? Or are they unrelated? — ymb1 38 mins ago

how are they related if anyone knows? :)

the inspection and the whatever fee the DPE takes (and then assumes command of the plane)

well, I'm not up on regs in FAA land, but I'd guess 100 hour inspections are only required if the aircraft is for hire, and maybe there is some confusion about who or what is for hire

@DanHulme The crosswind one has me befuddled. It seems an obvious enough thing. Although his explanation has some kind of logic to it, it doesn't match with reality. But I can't put my finger on the specific error he's making.

I think he is just overestimating how much of an effect weather-vaning is

also, I think there's a confusion over how you define "releasing the controls" after take-off

because that's not how you fly. You don't just take off and then take your feet off the pedals. You're always controlling the rudder to keep the sideslip ball centred.

Q: Is reasking questions allowed under any conditions?

Suppose i added a question which i expected to get a lot of attention and plenty of answers, but the question ends up with very little views. Afterwards, i realise that's probably because i chose a very bad title. I could edit it, but at this point it's far down the list and it's going to be seen...
