@Federico regarding your edit on aviation.stackexchange.com/q/47943/15982 the up voted answer says not to use ' but also don't go making edits just to remove them. The Unicode option is the default on iOS keyboard so it would require a lot of edits to remove them all.

@Notts90 I also removed the "financial" (that is the reason I started the edit, your addition did not seem to be warranted by what OP was saying). I had no idea Macs had it as default, on every keyboard I have, they are absent

@Federico fair enough. I don't know about Mac desktops and laptops as I think they run different operating systems but iOS is on the iPhone and iPad which obviously have a virtual keyboard that uses Unicode.

how many times do I have to correct 747-800 to 747-8 from the same user aviation.stackexchange.com/q/47956/14897 <sigh> lol
not gonna do it... no way...
but now it's even better, it's 747 - 800
<end of rant>

@ymb1 it's the poor spelling that gets me, most browsers have a spell check built in don't they? The random capitalisation is also rather annoying, just a complete lack of effort. I tried suggesting an edit but apparently I changed to much lol

@Notts90 lol, mind you the tag reads '747-8' :P
@Notts90 speaking of capitalization, enjoy this: aviation.stackexchange.com/revisions/47915/1 :P :P

@ymb1 that made me want to rip my eyes out...
aviation.stackexchange.com/q/47723/15982 I don't see how this is a dupe, one asks optimal angle other asked for angle of a specific aircraft. They don't ask the same thing and have different answers.

9:24 PM
@Notts90 super easy to find, objective of type specificity not said, hence dupe, IMO, also see this: aviation.stackexchange.com/q/47722/14897
asked by same user around the same time
so even that includes the answer, why ask for 787 main wing sweep, when you're going to ask how it compares to the horizontal stab
the pattern I see is they ask 4-5 questions in the span of 3 minutes, zero research, and it's always: 1 hits, the rest miss
check the amount of [duplicate] questions they've asked
aaaaand, why ask how they compare, when an earlier empennage related question, I linked a source that covers all empennage stuff
a month earlier it was

9:38 PM
I saw the question about the tail as well. If ones a dupe I think they're both dupes, though I still don't think they're dupes.
Agree on the pattern of questions though, no effort goes into them what so ever which often gets a down vote from me.

@Notts90 tail one not dupe due to a technicality, the answer is in a link :D
which would make it a link-only duplicate, a rare breed :P
but if a question comes along, how does the main wing sweep and horizontal stabilizer of a 747 - 800 compare, then it would be a dupe to the 787 one
because the 787 one shows the why, and how to find it
@Notts90 that's also why whenever I can, I make older questions more generic, see: aviation.stackexchange.com/posts/16566/revisions

10:07 PM
I still don’t see how an answer to “what is the optimal angle?” could answer “what is the angle on this specific aircraft?”
For example, “What is the optimal age for running a marathon?” doesn’t have the same answer as “How old is Paula Radcliffe?” (No idea why I thought of that example 🤨) I hate running!)

10:51 PM
@Notts90 well, I really don't agree with the analogy, but, I flagged it, next time a mod is around, the answer that included the comparison, will be added to the list :) because if A1 covers Q2, even if the Q1 is different, then it's a duplicate
I've requested it before, but was a different reason: aviation.stackexchange.com/posts/44898/timeline
so fear not :P
