Taking a risk with this one. Not sure if it's on topic... Though it might be fun to answer some "mission specific" questions. So long as people used facts instead of, you know, pure opinion.

Q: What is a good plane for aerial photography?

Jay CarrI'm a bit of a photographer and I keep thinking it would be fun to try and do some shots aloft. Only trick is, I'm not sure what kind of plane I would want to use to get those pictures done. I'd have to rent the plane and the pilot and I'd like to keep the price down as best as possible... So ...

@JayCarr Are you shooting from outside the plane or inside the plane, and what do you intend to photograph? :)

@voretaq7 Well, I'm trying to work cheap, so my guess is the only one I can afford is one where I'm going to be inside of it the whole time. As far as what to photograph, I tend to really like natural features, so I was hoping to drop down near some hills and get some cliff side shots you can't really get from any other angle. Might also be fun to try and get some good shots of skyscrapers...though they're really aren't a lot around here to be fair.
I will admit, had I bit of money and the know how, I'd love to try and get some wildlife shots from the air, of herds of beasts. I like those kind of shots :).

@JayCarr: maybe you would like to look for a helicopter instead of a plane?

In 1930, aviation pioneer Louis Charles Joseph Blériot established the Blériot Trophy, to be awarded to an aviator who demonstrated flight at a speed of 2,000 kilometers per hour (1,242.742 miles per hour) for 30 minutes. The technology to accomplish this was three decades in the future. On 10 May 1961, a U.S. Air Force/Convair B-58A-10-CF […] The post 10 May 1961 appeared first on This
