@BESW Thanks, I've forgotten how to do everything :-D
@JamesRisner And IMO it gives the game a more natural flow. In fiction and battle accounts I've heard few people fight from dawn to dusk without a break. I like the natural little pauses for dialog and RP it gives.
I’m trying to figure out to what extent fan RPGs set in the 40k universe are allowed, clearly anything commercial is off the table — but as soon as it is explicitly non-commercial, it does seem in line with the guidelines?

The Enemies Abound spell specifies (emphasis mine):
Whenever the affected creature chooses another creature as a target, it must choose the target at random from among the creatures it can see within range of the attack, spell, or other ability it's using.
Does this mean if the affected target ...
I'm a helper DM for a West Marches style of game.
One of our prospective players has a character concept that simply cannot work with the setting at all, mostly due to being from other settings (and thus implying dimensional travel and setting crossovers that we're not comfortable with).

FWIW, on the future of D&D, maybe. For some reason, I suspect that they are trying a new kind of DDO (dungeons and dragons on line) with the idea that they'll expand their custome based to MMORPG and CRPG players...
@NautArch I think the idea is that they want to coopt a large enough proportion of the existing player-base into a higher revenue source so that it makes killing the previous market worth it.
If 10 people pay $2, but killing my $2 product would get 3 of them to pay $7 for the new product, it makes sense to kill the $2 product.
After a week of excitement over the OGL change, it seems the excitement is gone. People worried are not replying to the survey. There are a few new videos (two posts in here in the last 24 hrs), but most people are done caring? At least people in my play groups and local discords.
Am I alone? Are there other groups and chat's that are still worried?
@NautArch No one in my Monday night game is. No one in my Saturday game is going to. At least in terms of when I asked if they were also going to reply like I did. In the local discord, hardly anyone seems to be interested in it. In a private discord with about 5 of my friends who were very interested in the leaked ogl 1.1, are not replying to the survey (they said no when I also asked them to do so)
A player in my campaign is a Twilight Domain cleric. The Steps of Night feature (TCoE, p. 35) allows them to gain a flying speed equal to their walking speed for one minute. As a cleric, they have heavy armor proficiency, and they just got some plate armor.
Would they still be able to fly while w...
The Improved Knockdown fighter and mauler feat modifies the Knockdown feat action, specifically
You can dash your foe to the ground with a single blow. When you use Knockdown, instead of making a Strike followed by a Trip, you can attempt a single Strike. If you do and your Strike hits, instead ...
@JamesRisner There's still a fair bit of complaint on social media. Hopefully the vocal ones there are also making themselves heard via survey. Also, generally you're more likely to respond to a survey if you're passionate about something than if you're ambivalent. ie, "seems good" people are less likely to respond than "you shall not pass" people.
