@OliverSalzburg Wait but then why would they have those job descriptions in first place? That is to pre-qualify prospects and separate those from the pack.
@Hennes Yeah those in IT field have "keep it simple" solutions. Like, "Computer does not turn on. What do you do?" You can get smart and say I would check power supply, then you can say check motherboard, them if MB is shortened... all while the simple answer would be "Power cord was plugged out from power splitter"

Like, if I wanted to work for a specific company, I would try to get a job there regardless if they have a job offering posted :P And if I saw a job offering for some job that required a masters in CS and 10 years of experience in management, I would still apply, because I'm awesome ;P

I think I now understand what you said here. By 96 years of experience you probably mean all those different certifications and experience in different skillsets. Like when hiring programmers I often see: Need experience in .NET, C++, JAVA, this and that plus a bunch of certifications.
I then wonder how many years one would need to know all this.
@Bob Okay then, you claim you are awesome and promise responsibility but what if you cannot meet demands for job? You just quit? But what if it is 2 year term?
Like, I wouldn't try to get a job in network engineering, because I don't know anything about that. But I would apply for almost any programming job, just because job listings aren't made by programmers. They are made by HR people and they just want to cover their asses with insane requirements
@Boris_yo I don't know. For the first job I ever applied to, I already had experience from past-time projects and I did an internship at that company before starting the job

If you have zero experience in a certain field, you shouldn't get a job in that field. And if you have experience, it should allow you to gauge how well you would be able to handle the job
@Boris_yo I would claim that it is, yes. Someone with a ton of education and experience is less likely to fail. And you don't want the boss to come at you like "YOU HIRED THAT SHITHAT??? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU O___o??"

@OliverSalzburg Heh. My alternative job as security insultant consultant: I have zero experience and the people I applied with know that. THey are willing to train me (at a starters salary and with me bringing a lot of practical windows knowledge to what now is a Unix only world)

How do floppies work? Do you spit them in, THEN access them? I mean, it seems I have to make the computer read the floppy by double clicking the Drive A in Computer to get it to even try to read
