Some questions are gathering no and not currently possible answers. I don't quite feel well about them given that they don't solve the problem the OP is experiencing, and are actually the most cheap answer you can give. They often don't come without any reasoning and don't look whether there are ...
About: Is there a Pandora client for Windows Phone 7?
This feels like a recommendation question, in the form of Q&A is Hard, Let’s Go Shopping!, and appears to be facing close votes. I am wondering which types of these questions we would accept...
So, which types of questions will we allow ...
Windows Marketplace, was a Microsoft platform for the delivery of software electronically that worked with Windows Marketplace and was secured by use of Windows Live ID. The digital locker platform was composed of four major components:
#Windows Marketplace catalog
#Multi merchant download cart
#Digital Locker Assistant (a client side application that facilitates the download of purchased applications)
#Digital Locker.
For consumers, the digital locker and Windows Marketplace could be used for purchasing and downloading third party software titles compatible with Microsoft Windows, an...

"it's done" comments are rare and generally "we'll look at it" comments on child metas are like "OK OK stop whining, STFU and we'll take a look and then never bother about it"
well, I'm checking compatibility to upgrade to Win8 now. more of a formality than anything else. I'll upgrade in a few days... meanwhile I'm running the Release Preview on my custom build...
Simply like the title says is the windows 8 upgrade 32 bit or 64bit? the one that you get with the upgrade assistant?
Or is it dependent on the the system I am using to download it? 32bit system gets 32bit Windows 8, 64bit gets 64bit Windows 8?
Clarification would be greatly appreciated...
There is Windows 8 upgrade for ~$64 on TigerDirect. But why not buy full install? I don't like the idea of upgrading based on previous cases with 98 to XP. Could be screwed and better to format and install from zero:
There's system builder (OEM), and then there's system builder (personal use licence)
The personal use licence is more or less the same as the old retail one
@Boris_yo Yea, clean install is definitely much more reliable than upgrade. On the other hand, Windows 8's kernel is very similar to Windows 7 - most of the changes were in the UI. Windows XP (compared to 98) was a move from DOS to NT. That's a massive change... so I guess 7=>8 is easier :P
@Bob: they'd have bought retail (if they didn't know that you could buy system builder/OEM) or OEM (if they knew you didn't have to install OEM on a fresh system)
@Bob Yep, it is like what people saying - Windows 8 is masked Windows 7 in terms of UI and graphics. While I have expected full upgrade from engine to UI, I have got only UI which only makes Windows 8 more cumbersome for hardware and requires newer to perform smoothly.
MS has not added signature verification for Narrator :D
@Boris_yo Windows 8, in theory, has equal or lower requirements than Windows 7.
MUI apps might require better graphics capabilities than Aero (definitely needs better than Basic), I don't know, but it should work on the integrated graphics on Intel processors, so it can't be that demanding.
And, from a business point of view, you need to be able to type well. I don't know about Surface without the type cover, but touch typing is nigh impossible with iPads and Android tablets
Installed Office 2013 on Windows 8 today. It's great, except for one thing, the all caps ribbon titles are inconsistent with the title case titles everywhere else in Windows 8. Is there a registry setting that will let me change this?

Here's how Microsoft new Windows Azure portal elements look like:
and that seems to be "Windows 8 style". Visual Studio 2012 also has plenty of user elements in ALL CAPS.
For dozens of years ALL CAPS was considered yelling and just bad style and now suddenly ALL CAPS is everywhere.

The Test
To try and make a fair comparison, I went for Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 versus Windows 8 Enterprise. These are the most full-featured editions of the respective operating systems available, so could be considered as a "worst-case scenario". SP-1 was already slipstreamed into the Windows 7 ...
I'm starting to think we need a "how do I access the Charms bar?" question, just to link from all the other questions where the answer starts with "in the charms bar"...getting fed up of typing it out lol
When I click a link from a Modern UI app, it opens in my default Modern UI browser. How do I force all links, regardless of source, to open in the desktop browser? Ideally, the Modern UI browser would not open at all, except possibly if I manually opened it.
I am currently using Firefox Elm (a N...
