Done some more since then, at some point later I made a word distance checker and ran them over the tags and done some more obvious ones. I think there aren't really much more tags like these on Super User.
Unless some people made a whole new set of them... :(
Hmm... I was thinking about quoting the most important part of this link in this post but I don't know where to start; being concise isn't my thing today...
Now look, I'm not naming any names, but suffice it to say that spamming us with lots of flags to up those helpful flag numbers isn't going to hurt your nomination. It's going to make the mods all not want to vote for you. Your nomination should be based on a history of being a good contributor, not a sudden spate of activity as soon as the election starts.
A new election started on Super User this morning. I'm already a moderator on SU, and since the election started, I've noticed a drastic uptick in flags and other activity from certain users who have nominated themselves.
It seems pretty obvious to me that this surge in activity is to get those ...
@nhinkle: It's because of the negative reactions that I'm actually being more active, but the responses (not you in particular) to that aren't really helping; but well, I'll ignore it.
This is a huge DVD file that I need to deliver digitally to a distributor in another country. Is it even possible to send such huge files? I can't think of a service that will handle files this big.
Unless you have both you and your recipient, and all the hubs in between have a collection like this.
Which makes it take about ~6000 seconds, which is about 100 minutes.
I'm afraid it's going to take a very long time.
Even if you are one of our top 3 users (not me), you would have a conne...
@jokerdino: There's a lot of sue going on with Apple lately...
The Sandman is a mythical character in Northern European folklore who brings good dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto the eyes of children while they sleep at night.
Representation in traditional folklore
Traditionally he is a character in many children's stories, invoked to lull children to sleep. He is said to sprinkle sand or dust on or into the eyes of the child at night to bring on dreams and sleep. The grit or "sleep" in one's eyes upon waking is supposed to be the result of the Sandman's work the previous evening.

@nhinkle WHAT. THE. FUCK. The guy has so much pride that he just won't give up. I can't wait for him to be disbarred and lose his ability to be a lawyer.
@jokerdino That would be funny, coming up out three options that seem reasonable and picking one at random. And have an explanation ready for all three of them... :D
Hmm weird, docs.google.com doesn't work, had to view-source it and figure out that docs.google.com/document/create is the link to create a new document.
@iglvzx: Go look at the nominations of last year, figure out all of them in 1200; that's why I went in kernel panic at first, but well, on the other hand keeping it short helps people skim it.
1922, dropping a 100 every few minutes.
@iglvzx: Without the URLs / syntax it's only 1480.
I want to show all of the files in a directory, along with their last modified date and filesize, and then sort by filesize. (with final output being in following order: name, date, size)
I can imagine a solution with two for loops, in the first you use cut to put them in size, date, name order, then run a sort over it, in the next one you cut again to put them back in the order you want.
Actually, not cut, even sed or grep could work magic.
I am @ Hyperoptic... +, not sure if that one is faked unless you have a direct link, or they are using 10Gb cards - the fastest speed I have been able to measure point to point using Iperf is 944Mb... With the Ookla speed test engine, around 920Mb
@WilliamHilsum Erm, I'm on Linux so that's going to be tricky. If you have a blur program that would work better. We'd also need a mod / dev to nuke it...
@WilliamHilsum I miss verbosity with such error messages. In this occasion you' ll want to be able to see the event log, do you have Powershell access to it somehow?
