bleh... who had the great "idea" to produce a laptop that has the potential to enter power state that requires the internal battery to be reseated before it will boot again. :\

So @JourneymanGeek, is Dash Charge noticeably faster than other fast-charging solutions?
(ordered a OnePlus 3T last night)

As a refresher, Dash Charge is OnePlus's proprietary charging protocol—specifically, an implementation of OPPO VOOC—in which the charger feeds up to 4A directly to the battery at its own voltage, instead of driving 5V (or more, e.g. Qualcomm Quick Charge) and stepping down in the phone. This approach requires both a proprietary charger and a proprietary cable, but by not having to convert voltage in the phone, it generates less waste heat enabling faster charging and less throttling under load.
yup
@bwDraco in my experience, yeah
but my OP3 tends to get charged off a normal usb port half the time. You can pretty much go from 0-60 in 30 minutes or so off the DASH charge
also, DASH is VOOC, just with USB C
Sometimes I wonder what users are thinking... "Hey, instead of clicking new email, typing in the IT guys email and then writing my query, I'm going to find an old email he sent me, reply to it, change the subject line and leave all the rest of the old discussion at the bottom."

@allquixotic keeps crashing on native windows on similar hardware, lol
