hmm. My tablet lets me connect my ROCCAT mech keyboard through a USB-OTG cable and charge at the same time if the power-only connector is plugged into a (1.5 A or more) separate power source first. My phone does not allow that, perhaps due to restrictions imposed by USB Type-C.

The power bank remains able to charge the tablet, albeit at a reduced rate. The tablet does not properly recognize that it is charging due to the nonstandard nature of the connection, but it can still reach a full charge.

I know. It's a really weird setup that Android devices are not designed to handle (neither in hardware nor in software). But it works on this Nexus 9 running CM13.

But hey, that's what we Android device modders do :)

id check up on power management options within the android kernel sources

but there may be some proc settings you can set which may do something

(I'm using an Anker PowerCore 20100 as the power bank, so there's no real concern about running out of power over the course of a day)

Add me to the list of medically afflicted. Dropped a door from a damaged cabinet while it was being moved, fell on my bare left little toe. I'm not sure as to the extent of the damage, but I must assume that a fracture had occurred (even if minor) to avoid further complications.

mine was caused by a rental car trying to find the brake and loose fitting shoes, some how managed to pull my nailback while attempting to stop, misplacing my foot on the edge of the pedal.

A 24-year-old with a cane is a weird sight, but that's what I'm doing to keep the stress on the injured toe to a minimum. I've had it buddy-taped for the last four days.

in that case the Germans would use London as a staging ground for launching V2 rockets up at the north

I still have no idea how Germany is going to conquer the US in my game of Hearts of Iron IV, even though "my" Germany is doing much, much better in the war than the one in reality

I think they'll be able to beat the UK, but it'll take a lot of manpower and they'll be stretched really thin

get ready to defend against 1.5 million Germans, most of them between the ages of 14 and 30, with machine guns, anti-tank guns, mobile towed artillery and anti-air flak, and Panzer tanks with sloped armor that could probably go toe to toe with modern light tanks and only be defeated by the depleted uranium shells of main battle tanks

and all this with the German navy having clear naval superiority in the English Channel and strong air superiority in mainland Europe (though not much if any of it in Britain yet)

also in my HoI IV game, the Germans are scheduled to develop the atomic bomb within (either before or after) 1 or 2 months of the USA's own Manhattan project

so if they're not defeated by then, they could employ it against the UK or USA
