She certainly has no SU account

if it is true that Trump is going to colaberate on secrets with Putin, i expect Putin to have a lot more hair after a few meetings :-)

I don't take saying this lightly, but there are indications that Trump may have commited treason against the United States.
If Trump encouraged or otherwise supported Russia in their hacks (which have just been confirmed by Obama with sanctions imposed by executive order), and given that Russia could be considered an enemy of the United States for this reason, it is plausible for a court to rule Trump's actions treason.
seems to me to be as designed. Have the exiting pres nail them for things , while the incomming president makes peace with them again. both of them given thier different tasks, both bad actors :-)
Good Cop , Bad Cop = Lame
02:46
Investigation into Russian hacking must determine whether or not Trump campaign was in collusion. If so, treason. #FollowTheMoney

@Bob heh. That seems accurate, except for the Fire HDX 8.9", which is (1) more expensive, (2) quite a bit more solidly built than the Fire / Fire HD, and (3) waaay higher spec and better production value
@Bob at work :(

ugh. I can't do long drives

btw @Bob not to take away from your C# impl, but I recently got a compiled and linked kynnaugh-cc DLL on Win64 after significant effort fixing broken shit

@Rahul2001 ...what have you been saying to her? o.O

@Rahul2001 I think the universe is telling you something ;p
@Bob Indian moms are pretty darned concervative ;p
how are her parents reading her messages?
@Rahul2001 you need to go round to her house and start making yourself useful to her parents
@Burgi They saw her chatting, demanded to see messages
@Burgi Kinda tough to do, she doesn't live nearby
o_O

elephant juice and all that jazz
@Rahul2001 its india, transport is cheap
12:43
its india, parents are strict in every sense of the word
Even if I go, curfew would be like 6 or something :(
£50 would probably be enough to get you from india to london in a tut tut
you must be chatting with her on what's app..how her parents came to knew that she was not chatting with her common friends?
@AlanWatch because he is a kinky bugger and was writing down all the stuff he wanted to do with her
@Burgi its called an auto in india ;p
ah, im not down with the lingo

@AlanWatch Hangouts, actually
@JourneymanGeek xD

@AlanWatch 2 cans and a very long piece of string
carefully positioned parabolic reflectors

@Burgi reading personal messages by parents is the last nightmare I would experience
@JourneymanGeek haha that will work
did you notice that 2 cans and a string are immune to man in the middle attack?
hmmmm
the mystery of the missing folder continues :/
outlook 2010, folder just 'disappeared' one day
it's not in deleted items, nor in recover deleted items
@djsmiley2k o0
yeah
3rd line just went 'she must of either deleted it or moved it'
so I checked and it's not in her outlook file system anywhere, it's not in her actual file system anywhere, and it's not in deleted (and she hasn't cleared deleted)
so unless she deliberately went into deleted items, perm deleted it, then went into restore deleted items, and perm deleted it from there...
Which I find slightly hard to believe...
13:15

Q: How can I find a lost folder in Outlook?

Manga LeeHow can I find a folder that was accidentally moved into an unknown folder in Outlook? I can find messages in the folder and looking at their properties gives me the name of the folder but not where it is located. I would like to avoid having to manually look in every folder in the hierarchy.

@djsmiley2k
@djsmiley2k Have you tried the inbox repair tool?
no because I don't have that access -_-
i passed it back to the 2nd line team to fix because of exactly that
but she hasn't moved it elsewhere either - the emails that were flagged in the folder, are no longer flagged
She can't tell me exactly an email that was in the folder, which is a bit of a pain too!!
just that she knows there was some flagged ones, which are no longer showing under flagged.

> Why use a Child Theme?

There are a few reasons why you would want to use a child theme:

If you modify a theme directly and it is updated, then your modifications may be lost. By using a child theme you will ensure that your modifications are preserved.
Using a child theme can speed up development time.
Using a child theme is a great way to learn about WordPress theme development.

@Burgi From my experience she is correct.
jamie oliver needs to tackle hospital food next
oh yeah he's done such a great job
1. how much did it cost?
2. did you die?
if not, 5*
@ThatBrazilianGuy we already got a torrent of the eintire thing
archive team got your back
15:43
@djsmiley2k poor nutrition in hospitals could lead to long stays and therefore cost more in the long run
Oh agree there
but on another people some people use hospitals like hotels :/
hmmm
I wish the food in the shops/resturants wasn't so extortunately expensive
so maybe spending a little more on food could help brng down the big overhead of lost productivity and cost of treatment from a longer stay
As a dad who got to watch the mum of his child be fed fairly good food, and then got the joys of paying like £5 for a plate of half cold soggy chips
ok, agree, but jamie flippin oliver isn't the fix
but school meals were in a bad way when he took on the cause

is it safe to charge laptop on an inverter power?
@AlanWatch where's the inverter getting its power from? a car?
it depends a lot on the quality of your laptop's power adapter, the quality of the inverter, and the quality of the power source.
a good inverter paired with a good power adapter should be able to smooth out the power enough so as not to damage the laptop or the battery charging circuit
crappy ones coupled with a messy power input? not so good
there's a teardown of a good laptop charger; as you can see, it does Power Factor Correction, has many filter capacitors and various other high-tech power electronics components designed to remove all sorts of power impairments and provide a clean feed to the laptop
you could probably plug that into almost any inverter and it'd be fine
17:14
I was thinking about the possible uses of Optane (3D XPoint) memory.
The most obvious of them is to use it in Intel SRT to accelerate system performance with SATA or TLC NAND-based PCIe SSDs.
(MLC NAND PCIe SSDs may see some benefit, but I suppose it's not worth it at this point for most use cases)
The other possible use case is to use it like any other storage device for handling particularly I/O-intensive workloads.
Photoshop users, for example, can use the Optane memory as scratch space. Video editing applications can benefit similarly. For workloads that would otherwise place TBs of data a day on the main SSD, Optane memory, with the ability to sustain petabytes of writes with ease, can be used as an application-managed cache or working area for a variety of other applications.
Optane memory would be perfect for ZFS SLOG.
^^^ @allq
The cost and limited capacity mean that it will not be replacing NAND SSDs anytime soon, but I can already envision a variety of applications for 3D XPoint.
17:31
> There is usually some excess screws you can vacuum.
ROFL! Oh I love this guy
...nvm. I guess you're distracted.
:p
@bwDraco I'm laughing atm, but yeah, Optane would be perfect for SLOG, not much I can do about that since it isn't available
wake me up when I can rent it in an OVH server lol
18:07
Given that the ZIL doesn't require a lot of space (even 8 GB will do in many cases) but needs to handle every incoming write, maximum write performance and endurance are key. The best storage medium for this right now is an eMLC SSD, but it seems 3D XPoint can easily take over this role.
Dog
Dog
18:18
@allquixotic :D Me too
@allquixotic Apparently Lenovo laptops being released at CES will have optional Optane options
But being Lenovo, it's probably a vaporware marketing stunt
How do I cat?
5
@bwDraco I just want 3D XPOINT for RAM slot.
intel is saying that they will manufacture it for DIMM slots also
It'll be Micron, not Intel.
Technically, they're manufactured by the same company, IM Flash Technologies, but it's Micron that will be marketing NVDIMMs under the QuantX brand.
(IMFT is an Intel/Micron joint venture)
18:47

@djsmiley2k It's a new storage technology that is nonvolatile and much faster than NAND, but also much more expensive.
(have work to do)
It will not replace NAND for a while, but will be used for caching and other workloads that require data persistance, maximum performance, and maximum write endurance.
@djsmiley2k it's slower than DRAM, but faster than NAND SSDs; about half the cost per GB compared to DRAM; non-volatile like NAND; and can be eventually "worn out" like NAND, but it has much higher endurance than NAND
I don't think it'll ever replace DRAM as primary system memory due to the lower performance (DRAM is seriously fast), but it might act as a cache layer that's cheaper than DRAM and faster than traditional storage
3 hours ago, by bwDraco

21:05
k ty both
i see where it fits now, nice
would make nicer larger caching hdds too?
Why not have 60Gb caching hdd a\o/
@djsmiley2k if the hybrid HDD companies are currently too cheap to put more than 8 GiB of NAND cache in HDDs, I don't see how they'll suddenly start using Optane instead
SSHDs are designed to an extremely aggressive budget, which prevents them from reaching their theoretical performance ceiling
you won't see a $1200, 10 TB, helium-filled HDD with a 128 GiB Optane cache any time soon, or ever
to build something like that yourself, you have to use tiered storage solutions, either in software or hardware RAID
ZFS with SLOG and L2ARC is the best software approach
Adaptec maxCache 3.0 on their 8-series RAID controllers is the best hardware approach, IMO (I've been using it for a long time and it's great)
I'd go the hardware route if you want to run Windows as a physical OS (not a VM), like on gaming desktops, because there's no ZFS support
and storage spaces on NTFS sucks and ReFS isn't ready

2 hours later…
22:53
@allquixotic :((
ITD BE NICE THO, RIGHT?
23:48
lol
WE CANNOT HAVE NICE THINGS!
@bwDraco what people would use optane for seriously depends on cost
Oh and form factor
Since they're talking about Optane as sticks of ram
I mean, for something like caching on a raid controller, the stuff would be the bees knees
