Why do DCI (real) 4K monitors still not exist under $1k? It seems you can have all of them you want if you're fine with UHD. - Why can't I buy a 27" iScreen and have it be more like +9k? I want the DPI of an iPhone, the same size as my computer monitor. Would that be in more like the +$10k range? ;)
@Mazura Prices are set as high as the market will bear. Most buyers of DCI are probably companies, where budgets are much less sensitive to "a few thousand dollars here and there" to get what they want. Most consumers will go to Best Buy and pick up the cheapest thing with a big "4K" sticker on it. They don't care if they're missing a few pixels.
You're comparing a professional, mastering grade monitor used by professional graphics workers and video producers to something completely different. As indicated above professional grade UHD monitors can easily cost more.

@Mazura If the market isn't selling what you're buying, welcome to the world of being a niche consumer: virtually no companies care about what you want, because your specific desires/needs/price points are so rare that they're not worth catering to.
Odontomachus, or trap-jaw ants, is a genus of carnivorous ants found in the tropics and subtropics throughout the world.
== Overview ==
Commonly known as trap-jaw ants, species in Odontomachus have a pair of large, straight mandibles capable of opening 180 degrees. These jaws are locked in place by an internal mechanism, and can snap shut on prey or objects when sensory hairs on the inside of the mandibles are touched. The mandibles are powerful and fast, giving the ant its common name. The mandibles either kill or maim the prey, allowing the ant to bring it back to the nest. Odontomachus can...
can anyone point me to that meta post about creating multiple accounts? i'm making one to test some things (obviously not to upvote my own stuff). i can't seem to find it.
Except I made the mistake of accepting the registration email in my Chrome browser where I was logged in here (not Firefox where I made the SP).. so now it associated that email with this account.
@JourneymanGeek Dammit, I was thinking about spending $100-$200 on a cheapo one. But this is so much better... and more expensive... and I have some 6 hours to make a decision :S
Alright, the gig is up. Jon Skeet is my alternate account. Please merge my Jon skeet account into my Adam Davis account on SO. I'm tired of living the lie. — Adam DavisNov 5 '09 at 16:15
Title speaks for itself. An obvious bug.
Jokes aside, there's a lot of other users showing up in the list twice at the moment.
P.S. If anyone was wondering, this appears to be the case for every site, not just SO. I considered taking a screenshot of the rankings for Meta instead, but Jon Skee...

@JourneymanGeek I was thinking that.. because if I put it on Stack Exchange meta (I can actually see that one for some reason) I'm going to get barrage downvoted when I explain what I think caused it..
Well what happened is my 2nd account got put as an alternative login on this account. So I deleted it as a 2nd login and tried to make it again, it merged again (HOW DID IT KNOW), then I deleted it again and gave up.
So I mean there does not exist a 2nd account at this time
