@Dave It doesn't take that long surely haha. I don't understand why large organisation even use them. I presume it's due to to bandwidth concerns but, I can't see why! Using Explicit proxy's just involves the client sending a PAC request to the server and, it's done - I think.
@Dave too much Jargon ahhhh. I only know of port 80 lol. I'm feeble.
Whenever I move a folder with a thumbs.db file, windows pesters me about if I want to move it and it is really annoying.
I was watching a movie when the explorer window and that nag message popped up over the movie I was watching... I have anger issues and that made me lose my cool and caused me...
"You could have just asked me to edit it. but editing MY post and changing it's structure it what really pissed me off. As I said, I have anger issues, dont mess with me."
LOL
I seriously just hurt myself by rolling on the gound, hitting my head on a brick wall, passing out for 5 minutes and forgetting i did so and continued to laugh out loud.
All these upstarts coming in here trolling everybody and talking about all kinds of offensive nonsense that's off-topic and annoying... sigh... I liked it when RA was a nice peaceful place for tech enthusiasts
@NateKerkhofs Allowed, yes, but being unnecessarily crass and immature is not something we've traditionally been in RA. And it's on the very fringe of what might be considered tolerable, too (might even cross that line in some peoples' opinion).
@hichris123: "My comment was a unprofessional response. There's no real way that I know of in order to turn off these messages, which was I was letting the OP know that he needs to get used to it. "
@R.Doto i'm not normally described as controlled - apart from once when I was wrestling a girl.. which was only because I didn't want to be accused of rape.
@qasdfdsaq So here's a rundown: the C++ Lounge decided it was a good idea to have inappropriate conversations, and then attack the mods who tried to help solve the issue.
@hichris123 This chatroom has been a friendly place for tech enthusiast discourse for years. It's also the official Super User chatroom. To understand who is the problem (namely, people using offensive language, crass statements and general trolling), one only needs examine who has most recently begun "contributing" to the chat over the past few hours.
If there are several new users who have decided to come in here and try to make a mess of this place, there is a simple solution: remove the offending users.
so, I'm at debian 7.9 on several webserver and mailserver machines I maintain, how much crap will the dist-upgrade to jessie hand me by now? anyone experienced in that? I'm mainly running nginx with TLS only, php5-fpm, dovecot, postfix, mysql
@Julius, not sure.. I compile everything from source though.
@Julius: I created my own distro recently which is essentially a LFS distro that runs off of USB. Its nice! it even has the new kde plasma desktop on it.
@Julius: However just getting the darn thing to boot took ages due to the amount of time required to compile everything.

@bwDraco Because of exactly what he's saying to you right now?
I've said nothing to him for weeks, he lurks around accusing me of harassment.
@qasdfdsaq: In order to understand your grievance, it's important to show precisely what you don't like about Ramhound. We can't help you resolve this dispute without more information about what happened.
@barlop - Your conclusions are on the dot. You ended up figuring it you faster then I could ping you in here. I told you about the limitations of USB 2/3, WinPE, because I didn't know you were selecting in Rufus.
@ArtOfCode IIRC, there was a feature of either Chrome or Firefox that puts a ":D" on your number of tabs if you have too many for the integer to fit in the little space where it's supposed to be.
AKA if you accidentally close a window in Chrome, it'll restore the entire window and all tabs in it, whereas firefox will only restore tabs in the current window
