@MichaelFrank this delivery requiring signature (supposedly) was left at the door with doorbell rung
got there ~5 secs later with no sign of delivery person
must've booked it pretty fast
@allquixotic @BenRichards It's an Xperia E1 running Android 4.4.2 on a Snapdragon 200. No aptX (I don't have an aptX sink anyway) but @allquixotic says this is an issue with SBC anyway. I can probably try measuring clock speeds - which app did you use?
I still intend to test the G4 when it arrives.
Sept 22nd comment on the bugtracker thread:
> Seems like the problem is in the kernel itself. Using Kernel Adiutor (g.play) i changed cpu governor from interactive to performance. It eats up battery a little bit faster, but so far im listening music already 4th sessions (5-6h) without single skip. Its a record since i can remember. Im running LG G4 rooted, stock rom 10E.
So I guess that saves me from needing to test :S
Hm. 10E is a bit old, EU is on 10F (SEA 10C, which I'll be getting).
Apparently that includes touchscreen and Stagefright fixes.
@DavidPostill I see. Batteries is something I don't deem necessary to worry about. There is abundance of them. I heard there is M570 version with red trackball which I suppose was discontinued. This one has better quality control and better trackball too I heard.
Last night I put a large-ish Wolf spider (?) outside. This morning I went out and there was a web across the entire span of the entrance to my driveway.
@Bob So far so good. I've made the loop break at Section 10 so it doesn't double up on some info that is listed again at the bottom. I've tried to understand that loop a bit better but it's still the bit that baffles me the most, haha. I also had a bit of a problem with products that had an 'odourless' odour but I managed to regex my way out of that in the end. :)
The irony of a group of people spending time discussing the most efficient ways to get a bot to display a comic about the perils of automation programming for menial tasks.
@JourneymanGeek Definately not a script. I get the same "Add a comment for the author" dialog when using IE (where I have no scripts and have never logged in to SE before). Review -> Low Quality Posts > press "Delete" button to repro
@JourneymanGeek Maybe reviewing is different for you being a mod?
@JourneymanGeek Hmm. I now notice the wording is slight different in IE so something in Firefox is modifying the dialog. Not sure what at the moment. But at least the same dialog (with canned comments of some kind) is displayed.
@JourneymanGeek As far as I remember an auto-comment get added first time someone votes. If exactly the same reason is given by another voter then no comment is added. If a different reason is given you get another comment. And of course reviewers can add their own comments (scripted or otherwise) then hit delete and select "no comment".
Yes. I guess the first one was hand typed. But the second and third are both different from the auto-generated so scripted but the posters have tweaked the script differently.
@bertieb this is why you should always KILL spiders you see; don't simply let them go. they will reward you later with a "surprise" visit in your hair, shoes, etc. or a web you walk through
Well, did some sleuthing to determine what was using most of my bandwidth on my website
Turns out my main site (not the blog) had a large, popular image (ranked high in Google searches) that was more than 2MB, disproportionately large for the dimensions of the image.
Lesson learned: Don't use crazy JPEG quality settings and use progressive JPEG format to make large images more viewable for users with limited bandwidth.
Are you referring the [delete] tag (which maybe should be removed) or to deleting the actual questions themselves because they are poor questions? I vote to close your question as "unclear what your are asking" ;)
@BenRichards Yeah, Explorer in Windows 10 in particular is very buggy. I've lost track of how many times I've had to hit the Restart button for Windows Explorer in Task Manager.
