Knwoing there is a new "method" this CatchWord HTML5 to do extensive things, i was trying to find buttons and methods by which to control or stop any of that from occuring. I assume at this point that stopping all scripting still would stop HTML5 things?
ahh the super laptop to desktop docking cooler :-) now they just need to add in the super GPU 8x 3.0 usb and disk tower.
I am not even sure how useful it would be, not being a laptop user. that a person could COMPLETELY replace a desktop with a full features dockable laptop. One system to take care of, 2 purposes to it.
Well, my biggest fear with running ads is sabotage: somebody intentionally generating an abnormal number of clicks in an attempt to shut down the AdSense account due to excessive invalid activity.
YouTube should be more resistant to this as it's all managed by Google on their end, but sabotage isn't impossible.
YouTube provides analytics data and I should be able to readily see any abnormal click activity on any video and reduce or remove ads if necessary to stop it.
At the current moment the start menu is limited to 500 entries in the database. This also affects search and Cortana as they both rely on that DB.
There is currently no known fix other than going to your start menu folder and deleting links and folders to apps not used.
(MR would give me a phone if I use it for ~5 minutes to talk, put facebook photos up etc. Its only in a limited, test area but meh, I can put photos of random crap up ;p
My current card is still fast enough. But I like at least one DVI connector and at least two DP connectors. And a lower power usage then my current card would be nice
@Hennes the point isn't really raw speed (as you say, fast enough), the point of those special features like hardware accel encoding and decoding is, well, lower power usage and better multitasking
@Hennes Between GTX 750 and R7 260, I'd recommend the nvidia (similar price, nvidia better perf and power consump). But they're pretty close. And of course you could pick other options, but this is probably the better stuff in that price range
The Fury X2 might beat the 980 Ti in raw FPS in benchmarks, but that remains to be seen, and somehow I doubt it will. Outside of that, AMD is grossly inefficient, overpriced, and underpowered.
And their drivers are back to being buggy, unstable and eager as all hell to TDR over and over and over.
also, if the Fury X2 beats the 980 Ti, it'll end up costing around twice as much for the privilege of doing so.
I'm really tempted to hold out for one more generation, because I think the next generation is going to be an absolutely huge performance breakthrough (die shrink)
might lowball a GTX 980 for now, then sell it next year when Pascal comes out
a GTX 980 would be faster than one of my R9 280X cards, and since most games I play are either windowed mode or too buggy to play on crossfire, it would be a significant upgrade
and I'm not going to upgrade my phone because fuck Samsung for having the gall to produce a Note 5 that is not water-resistant, does not have a removable battery, and does not have a microSD card slot... I really feel like punishing them for that decision
but if I scrimp on the GPU and go for the 980 -- which, by all accounts, should be great for 2015-2016 games at 1080p60 -- that leaves more money for Skylake
@CurtisJ.Malainey I record a lot of gameplay videos. That said, 16 TB is way more than I need. My current 8 TB array is more than sufficient in terms of capacity.
@CurtisJ.Malainey yup, old news around here... and most of us are very cynical that anyone here will be able to get our hands on it before 2020 due to cost and rarity
organizations like the NSA and DoE will be buying them all up
Normally, I'm all for advancement. But this is putting people's data at risk, without warning them, and touting how it's more reliable than HDDs - implying it won't fail.
