Codes I've searched in AHK forums are so many and complex for me.
This is my volume code. I just want to give it an animation. But I don't know how.
~shift::SoundSet +.3
~ctrl::SoundSet -.3
" If the tilde prefix is attached to a custom modifier key which is also used as its own hotkey, that hotkey will fire when the key is pressed instead of being delayed until the key is released. For example, the ~RButton hotkey above is fired as soon as the button is pressed."
I see no reason based on the information to assume that it would cause the key to repeat, only to trigger the event at the Key_dn instead of the key_up event.
Beyond that AHK is certannly not the answer to many questions, you can even see that in the lesser accepted answers , as in my own experience , the stuff doesnt work as planned. You gotta be a real dang expert at it , much like trying to code something the first time, stuff doesnt go as planned, or by the book.
I completly dropped that method for sound control myself , it was just one problem after another.
I do not doubt that the person knows what they are trying to accomplish for themselves, but for "most" people it would be simply insane to have the volume start changing everytime you pressed shift or ctrl.
Even for them, they will find it will backfire on them, and they would choose a different method anyway.
never had any problem with water pressure in this town, to high or to low. many of the faucets and showerheads have water saving restrictors on them, which i may adjust slightly :-) but only to get a balance between dripping and drowning.
Including a profiling (+ auto-adjust) tool might help but you'd still need someone willing to invest the time into running through the whole thing over and over.
@JourneymanGeek Yea, I was just typing that :P
It's just these "give the user more control!" people.
Yes, I want more control.
No, I don't think a hundred sliders of obscure optimisations is the kind of control I want.
Verizon likely considers the regular rate list confidential information because consumers would be less likely to select them with this information.
Nor does Verizon state that POTS cabling will be removed upon installation of FiOS, or that said removal is required for said installation.
We're strongly considering dropping Verizon in favor of TWC for Internet service.
Verizon's refusal to disclose critical service information is a dealbreaker.
(We have their DSL service, not their fibre-based FiOS)
TWC Internet service may not be as fast or reliable as FiOS, but honesty matters more than anything else.
I'm not saying TWC is 100% honest, but they haven't fallen as far as Verizon, and that's a good thing considering the pressure in today's market.
The whole market is moving downhill, though, with the Charter/TWC merger
At least this isn't going to be as harmful as Comcast acquiring TWC.
There's even a shot this could lead to lower rates.
@allquixotic: Your opinion?
Hopefully, Charter will stick to its promise of not charging to interconnect to Netflix or other services.
This promise is good for three years (to end of 2018). This isn't perfect, but it's much better than other major ISPs demanding payment for interconnection with no room for negotiation otherwise.
This has been something that I can't seem to wrap my head around. Just about every modern processor is able to execute more instructions per second than its frequency.
I can understand why lower class processors can execute fewer IPS than its frequency. For instance, the ATmega328 executes about 16
Designing a processor to deliver high performance is far more than just increasing the clock rate. There are numerous other ways to increase performance, enabled through Moore's law and instrumental to the design of modern processors.
Clock rates can't increase indefinitely.
At first glance, i...
