Q: How do I get different background images on my dual monitors?

Is there a way to set two different background pictures for my two monitors in Windows 7? By default the same background picture is used for both displays. I am looking for a solution without installing extra software.

As for Internet Explorer, that does things a little differently, the file type may have a hook/addin or something funky... I can't really say without knowing a bit more info, but, if you need help later, let me know, I can always remote in and take a look for you (I am here from about 11AM-5:AM GMT on and off!) I would recommend going to Tools > Folder Options and turn on "display filetypes for known associations" or similar (can't quickly remember), and then it should show you what it is

@WilliamHilsum Actually, this might be enough information to continue when I get back local to these computers... There are a few more similarly configured that aren't broken, so I may be able to duplicate some registry settings if I find they're set up that way

A: Hardware Ethernet On/Off switch

You could try something like this. While not an on/off switch it would do the same thing: I imagine what you could do, is place the cat-5 into the switch and then switch to the other port when you need to turn it off. Note: while this looks like a RJ-11 it says it's a RJ-45 (Cat-5) switch....

Task Scheduler has some tasks for reporting things to Microsoft on a regular basis.

I'm not sure. I have been using Chrome for the past couple of years. FF only comes up when I am testing JS code in different browser. Use to use it a lot for FireFly, but all browser comes with tools these days.
