This morning I was greeted with 6 BSODs caused by ATI's shitty QA on their drivers

Drivers are usually insatlled in system folders. It's far better to go through uninstall+reboot cycles rather than trying a manual purge.

And there are good driver purge programs.

Manual purges are inaccurate, messy, and can introduce far more problems.

If you really wanted to fix it, pinouts are on Wiki and I'd recommend you trace (with a continuity/resistance meter) to the other connector, because the D+ and D- are finicky and the colour code isn't necessarily reliable

but a repaired connector likely won't be as strong or reliable as before

and you should be able to buy one for under $5 anyway.

nice fast accurate GPS

fully offline maps

the offline search works (though isn't so great on the Lumia, it was better on Symbian^3)

online is still better for searching, but not needed if you have the street address or it's a big landmark

I've had no end of problems with Google Maps

the compass has been buggy since some update over a year ago
