it's possible they're both connected to the VGA port.

one GPU the IGPU connects to the outside, the other gpu the "3D" accelerated thing , connects via "software" Piping its speedy 3D renders out to the Intel IGPU frame buffer for display. The HDMI/DVI and the VGA are probably from the same gpu, and the vga is just the backwards compatability.

(This is how i understand it to be on many laptops so far, totally not the same for a desktop)

Ok, AMD Graphics cards, the latest ones at least can support Eyefinity akin to Nvidia's Surround Vision. Where you can use 6 monitors per GPU supposedly.

@LewsTherin sure the chips can do about anything, but manufactures have to connect to them and supply a whole gob of supporting stuff to get that to happen.

@LewsTherin sometimes a veder might be out of thier mind to support all that stuff :-) especially in a laptop. it might take much more power, add stuff that makes it bigger in size and confuses people with that to do with it all. Do you have a DP (display port) because it is likely if they put a LOT of video ports on a laptop they would apply a DP?

Heck there are TONS of cheap (general) PCBs (printed curcuit boards) with missing componenents , depending on which model you buy, depends on what they give you. same base board, the cheap one with missing stuff.

See how it says they're Switchable? That means the computer will normally use the Intel GPU until such time as it needs more power and then switches over to the more power/battery hungry AMD GPU.

@LewsTherin the way i would figure it, would be to start with what they gave me (what i could afford) and see what it does.. if you get 2 monitors connected , then your 1/4 the way there. Did you do that yet? Then Extend the desktop to have 2 different displays on 2 different monitors 1/2 way there. Did you get there yet? Once you get there then trying to slap them both together with the eyefinity should be easier.

You should be able to set this switching on a per application basis.

@LewsTherin I have seen eyefinity, it came I saw , i wasnt thrilled, i shut it all back off, along with many (not all) other 2 monitors people. so you wouldnt be missing a whole lot . Miss having a big Bezel right in the middle of your picture :-)

some of my dad's emails were stuck in a downloading loop - it would keep downloading 15 emails from about as many days, but not others.
