@allquixotic Nashorn is not a drop-in replacement, though it will be close. I believe rhino has more integration with non-JS stuff (i.e., DOM) than is planned for the nashorn release

@DarthAndroid headless pure Java browser using Nashorn for JS -- how hard? how much of the HTML stuff has to be done by hand or using something separate from Nashorn or the J2SE API in general?

@allquixotic All of the "browser" stuff will be separate. Nashorn will not have a concept of html elements, attributes, etc. baked in. I believe I heard talk of a .js resource you could load to add basic support if you needed to manipulate that stuff

it might even fix it for our wonky PhantomJS based impl

i don't have the server IP on me either because I didn't map it to anything in DNS so I'd have to ssh into the main box and look at my ips.txt file with a listing of all my IPs

@Bibhas it only welcomes you the first time it sees you... the bot has a long memory; it uses HTML5 storage to keep track of users it has previously met, even after a restart of the bot :)

it used ~50Watts , this one more like ~25w. thats about 219KW of savings per year if it was ever on 24/7. For our rediculous power costs here, that will save me ~$60 a year.

@Hennes As far as inputs, i am now convinced that people who make monitors cant make interfaces :-) its getting better. I think some of them now talk to the computer. But as of yet i have not put the software on to do that. Menu configuring the monitor via a computer GUI.
