How many tabs do you guys have open in your web browser? At the moment? And what's your average?

@Boris_yo the other one is a "geek squad" ups (dont laugh cause it is well done) and has 2 normal batteries. The third sits on a duplication tower and has 2 medium sized bats. @Boris_yo I have one of those stats add-ons in Firefox. Right now it shows 293 tabs open. Average is 82, and I've been recording since April 29. Max ever is 304.

@Boris_yo That's a lot of tabs. But luckily the latest editions of Firefox can handle it pretty good actually. Some previous versions were having memory issues. I have 4 GB.

@Boris_yo no the warrenty is over before the need for the first battery maintance exists. assuming it is not needed much, because crappy gell cells do not do that many cycles. The drain rate is also very high, sucking a battery dry in 15-25minutes is rather hard on them. The poweer doesnt even go out enough around here to test them.

Because Chrome likes to load every single tab at once...

Firefox used to be like that, in like version 1.8 or so. But then Firefox got better. Chrome didn't. Chrome didn't even exist back then.

As a Taboholic, this is the single most important feature I miss in Chrome. =)

@Boris_yo i do not think that any of the standard warenties cover a battery replacement anyway, unless i paid yearly for that with an extra warrenty. they are "consumables" :-)

killed off ~600, and it's fine now

that was only with FF23, though

that update might have introduced some graphics thing that doesn't like 2k tabs

@Bob Yeah, I have had similar problems. I think Firefox 4 - 12 or so were most problematic with many tabs. (I'm not sure of the version numbers as they keep changing the version number at a rapid pace now.)

@EinsteinsGrandson for our Service provider you would have to change it to a valid Mac address that they connect to, like yours or another customers. because here that is how they know you, to connect to you.

A: How can I change my BIOS splashscreen?

This will not work as the splash screen is saved onto your BIOS. The only way is to flash it across. I have never tried this, but I am pretty sure that this will work; no guarantees though. Install WinRAR, a extracting software that has a free trial download, which is all you need. Hunt around...

@avirk this is odd, Trying to change a resource file in a bios, because a Bios updater is very critical about the crc or md5 or whatever of the file it is about to update to, so the user doesnt bork the bios , and brick a laptop.

@Boris_yo when chips first came out, they were sold at a market; they would peel potatoes all day, and as customers came up, they'd slice the potatoes right there while you wait, fry them in oil, put some salt, and put them in paper bags

no nitrogen, no preservatives, no sealing... you would have to eat them within a few days or they'd go bad

A: Why can't my Fedora VM access this shared folder?

So I had the same problem, but I just arrived to resolved it. I did all the manipulation with the kernel 3.9.5 ... And I don't why, but it's work ... So my configuration is : Host : Win 7 Enterprise Oracle VM 4.2.12 Guest : Fedora 19 with kernel 3.9.5 ... VBoxGuestAdditions 4.2.18 Good luck !
