Then you want to remove it from "the case" prop it up on cardboard (insulated) check the bottom and top. then re-do the cpu, use one stick of ram at a time, in one slot at a time. and your checking the KB very smart, because if it is working somewhat, including the cpu, them KB locks and lights will work, even if the video is not yet visable.

@DEFCON1 Having a spare PSU would be helpfull, so you could swap in known working. Intel CPU so chances are it is not toast, if it was when you re-do it , you could see burning. But cpu could have connection or heating/heatsync issue. Ram slots can be checked for the connection points to be aligned the same visually.

@DEFCON1 Then the chipset cooler thing, the copper colored alum beast thing , that likely has a very poor thermal interface materials under it. And it can be very hard to remove. On the chipset, it should not cause a total lockup like that. but I alwasy re-did the stuff under them.

@DEFCON1 Yes there is a way it could damage another system :-( it would be very rare. if you had a voltmeter you could check because it is turning on.

@DEFCON1 And if you do have a Voltmeter, and you suspect the PSU, switch the voltmeter to AC also and check the same lines. If there is a noise on the "DC" output it will "show" when you use the AC setting on the meter. how bad will be how much it reads, and there are no fact numbers i can provide.

like, go back a few years... graphics/games in general on my PSP look AWESOME (With some exceptions)... Nintendo DS or advance (can't remember era exactly) looked rubbish in comparison, but, I had just as much fun playing a flat 2d game done well on my Nintendo as I did a full 3D good looking game on the PSP

I swear my best work, the things that really set me apart from the rest, I've done after 6:30pm and the only one in the office

I merely get by while others are standing around all in my face in our cramped quarters

things are so crowded in here with our new office that a guy talking to my next door neighbor is practically sitting in my lap

I fully agree, I used to get in at 10/11 and work until 7-8 and as you say, most of the best work happens when people have gone home...

but, now I have to be in at 9 (or earlier) and I pretty much end up staying late because I need to get stuff done... just get tired out :(

it doesn't help that I'm supporting three newish employees (within the past 6 months) and they always have tons of questions, and they come to me instead of our team lead, because our team lead has a bad non-native accent (his primary language is Telugu or Hindi I think) and the newbies are native English speakers like me

I'm basically acting as a team lead / first level manager for these people and I still get paid as a junior employee

Remember how the original computers were massive sized, took up a whole wall, and could do a few math problems. Now today they have Walls of servers. Somehow in the future a wall of servers would be replaced by one tiny computer that does it all just as well, and all this stuff will become obsolete once again. On one side you have the police (quite obviously) dealing with a very important situation, (look at all the cars). all the normal citizens are staying at a logical proper distance from the scene. A shooting could break out at any moment (for all they know). This clown drives up into the scene , with his music playing 100% illlegally loud, parks his car, doesnt even turn off the stereo. Then proceeds to think he is the news with his cell phone.

@Boris_yo It is california ? cars get to 140*F easily in many of the summer days. a dog gets its brain fried in hot cars. so at certian temperatures you cannot leave your dog in a car at all.

@Boris_yo yes also familliar with people overly panicing about the same situations, be it dogs or kids. I have been unduely herassed by people for my own dog in my ar, because they do not know it is fully insulated, and the effect of the reflection i use on it.

@Boris_yo They thought my dog was to hot in the car. It is a "work van" and it has insulation on the walls, unlike any other (my custom job) and reflecting the sun out on all windows. Plus it is white, and kept shiney

@Boris_yo It would get tossed from YouTube, and everyone wants thier channel to get hits, which can bring them some minor money. So they will steal others videos regularly. that is what "viral" means :-)

@Boris_yo i doubt it, the videos are compressed to death, once stolen from you-tube then re-upped it is a 2nd or 3rd generation digital copy. starts to look like crap, and is not the same data.

@Boris_yo copyrighted soundtracks can use the "sounds like" alogrythm like what is used to find a song you heard. But i dont know much about that. I thought they were removed after a complaint.
