We did have one character who had a psychic vision, ascended, rolled a natural 20 on a Perception check, and briefly glimpsed the real world and the players sitting around the table. The revelation that he was just a character in a game drove him to madness

The realization that he was being puppeted by omniscient gods broke his mind, so he basically never told the other characters - he just quietly went nuts

The absolute funniest was when the players had a quest in an asylum and he met one of the "patients" who was raving about "dice" and "character sheets", and he found a kindred spirit
"You too have glimpsed the truth"
We did a lot of meta-humor in that campaign

I miss playing Pathfinder too, haven't gotten to play it in forever
One of my friends was an early beta tester for 2.0, so we played it early and it was really fun

Pathfinder 2.0 is awesome, especially now that they've released some more races and rulebooks
When it first came out, it was pretty limited, but the rules are much more refined and it's very similar to D&D 5e now in many ways
HELLA complicated to learn, though
