Is there any flag for homework like questions? e.g. superuser.com/questions/1510349

@Biswapriyo Purely programming questions can go to SO... They'll deal with it ;)

This testing is also a large part of why FPGAs are so expensive - every bit in every block RAM, every LUT, every configuration of every transceiver, every IOB, and every routing matrix switch is tested to ensure that the entire FPGA will peform up to spec. This testing takes time for each FPGA, and time is money, so that becomes part of the price of the chip. — alex.forencich Dec 5 '13 at 2:05

Ed note: This is a part of series where an author plays both sides of an issue, one of which is obviously terrible. Can you guess which is which?

Our industry needs to own up to something we’ve all known for a long time: whiteboard coding interviews suck. At best, they’re ineffective at measuring a candidate’s capacity and aptitude for the real day-to-day work of a developer, and at worst they’re an inhumane ritual that amounts to little more than fraternity hazing.

I have never, in over 20 years as a professional developer, had a single project that required me to stand at a whiteboard and impl …

...wow.
I've always been wondering about how to use Remote Desktop on Astaroth without exposing port 3389 to the Internet and with an additional authentication layer (e.g. public keys). Well, there's the answer!
SSH tunneling, the same thing I did with VNC on an experimental cloud server a while ago. Turns out Windows 10 version 1709 introduced an SSH server!

@bwDraco Yes, do NOT ever allow 3389 to be accessible via the Internet. I always use SSH tunnels (unless I can't control the network, then I use their VPN service)

The idea that I would have full access to the Demon anywhere I have Internet access was something I've long dreamed of but security concerns have been a limiting factor. I can't wait to try this.
The RDP server was one of the big reasons I paid the extra money for Windows 10 Pro.

I have a list of instructions getting the SSH server in Windows 10 to work with public keys... Just need to write them up in an easy-to-read format before I post
But there are some gotchas to take into account
If you can, and you want extra security, learn how to use WSL, and get the ssh daemon from there running as the main SSH daemon for Windows. Then, you can use 2FA

@MichaelFrank ...no?

@Bob Okay... So I have this tab that constantly returns during a session restore, no matter how many times I close it. :|

10:12 PM
Remove it from recovery.js / shut down normally and remove from sessionstore.js ?

Bob

you sure it's not an extension loading it?

I figured out how to use this old ADSL Modem+Router as an AP!
Whoo! Technology!
