Hmm. So this points to an enrollment-time problem with the fingerprint reader.
Fundamentally, the system ends up enrolling the pattern embedded in the screen protector rather than the fingerprint itself. Users who use a plastic screen protector or no screen protector (at the time they enrolled their fingerprints) are not affected by the issue.
