@Bob any idea if you can sidegrade from one version of Windows 10 to the same version/build, as a problem resolution step?

all my slow / fast ring build upgrades have fixed my virus scanner problem but as soon as I revert it's back

going from 1709 to 1709 might fix it if the process of upgrading solves whatever it is

dism and sfc have no idea
