@MichaelFrank Not sure if it was the 8800s. The G84 and G86 cards (8600, 8400) were the ones that had problems. As far as I can tell, the G80 cards were unaffected.

Google is literally killing their only messaging service that is actually popular. It is completely baffling.
For whatsit, the website framework building thing.
They encouraged people to make their website 100% dependent on it and rely entirely on it, just to shut it down when it was getting popular.
They got lots of hate for that. It's a big reason I don't rely on services from any one company, since vendor lock-in and the like screw you over when the service dies.

This is why people should build an easy to use service off of a standard and established protocol like IRC or XMPP (the latter is probably more extensible for an easy to use service), so no one site shutting down would cause any harm.

After all, they are fundamentally an advertising company. Their search engine is there so they can advertise and sell personal information from you to advertisers. Their email service is there so they can scan for keywords and give you advertisements or sell your personal information to advertisers, etc. That's how they make money.
Chrome exists so people can be presented with Google services by default and so the omnibar can send what you type to them so they can sell it to advertising companies and give you advertisements. It's not like they're making free services out of altrusim.
@forest I am from India and I am not sure which book he is talking about and how he can say that book is used in every school. So to make things clear what that guy said is not true
@dave I've heard from many people that India pretty much only uses TurboC/TurboC++ in schools and that's the reason it pumps out so many bad programmers (not saying they're all bad of course, but many are because of that).
Maybe some schools, But specifically I am talking about that book he said and When I was in school, We had a C++ course which was based on C++11 standard and CodeBlocks IDE
It most definitely is. I organize city-wide programming competitions and symposiums and hackathons, and I know of only three schools in the capital city which don't use the book
