@ShoubhikRMaiti Unfortunately some laptops these days (actually I remember colleagues in 2016 with laptops like these) have the ram soldered in, which makes it very difficult or practically impossible to add extra RAM or replace the existing RAM the way we normally would. But I agree that in general buying some extra RAM and installing it yourself into the laptop can be very valuable and for not too much money or effort!

By the way, are either of you members in the QE Maillist? They're getting a lot of questions it seems, but ideally some of those would go here at MMSE. Would either of you be able to write something there to notify their users about MMSE's existence? I believe Rashid Rafeek did it way back in April 2020 and/or earlier when we first tried to get this site launched (we needed to pass a minimum number of interested members, in order for the SE site to approve my proposal to create a site for MM).

If that was the last time someone posted there about MMSE, maybe it's about time we do it again, since it's been more than a year since the last post?
