@PeterTurner I've been delisting a lot too, when they're borderline in-scope, or some of the semi-trolling ones.
I just wish the mods got a notification when a question goes on the HNQ list

Q: Did Buddhism, like Christianity, fulfill a prophecy of being more popular outside its birthplace?

BCLCHello again after 7 years. Since 2023Oct07, I've been reading about the Israel vs Palestine conflict and then the underlying Abrahamic religions involved Christianity, Judaism & Islam. Yeah, I sure wish one of them would run or that they call off the election if it's only the two of us. I'm just gonna have make it very clear that I'm a card carrying papist; (it's true: in danger of death, please call a priest).

Q: Is Girard's Scapegoat theory of atonement an acceptable view in Catholicism?

ConnieMnemonicObviously, we can't say for sure; all these theories float around and from what I can tell, the Church has no concrete position on the matter. I find Girard's scapegoat theory of atonement highly compelling, and I'd like to discuss it more with others. But first, I'd like to have some confidence ...
