SE are casting M.SE as a toxic cesspool that their employees are afraid to enter
as @TRiG mentioned, it's demise has "been well telegraphed"

@curiousdannii wasn't me, bro
@curiousdannii I am pretty sure that the poster isn't Catholic... there's an old saw about even Satan using scripture if it suits his purpose

5:18 AM
@KorvinStarmast Wasn't saying it was you :P
@KorvinStarmast Geremia isn't Catholic? What?

@El'endiaStarman That's an unusual way to use the site.

@curiousdannii I've been wrong before; @curiousdannii the "it wasn't me bro" was an attempt a a joke. So I'll not quite my day job. ;-)

12:40 PM
@KorvinStarmast I did think you were joking :)

still not quitting my day job. :)

@KorvinStarmast I think Geremia might be a Sedevacantist, and thought that might be what you meant by them not being a Catholic

@curiousdannii Could be, but when I got into a discussion with them the reference to having "Catholic friends" struck me as the old "nobody knows you are a dog when you are posting on the internet thing." For my money, sedevacantists are certainly Catholic, though I think the current pope would consider them schismatic?

@KorvinStarmast It would really surprise me if they weren't, everything they post concerns Catholicism. But I can't remember any personal expression of faith, so who knows

@curiousdannii there are a lot of people who study theology, and who even study the history of the Church, who are not among the faithful. I learned that some years ago on the Internet ... and in discourse with some academics.
And, again, I may also be wrong.

12:54 PM
@KorvinStarmast Yeah I think we've got quite a few atheist/agnostic scholars of Christianity here.
But some of Geremia's posts, particularly on thinks like sedevacantism, seem to show a level of interest that implies personal investment in the issue
I'm looking through their answers to try to find anything indicative haha

This post indicates that you are not a Roman Catholic. — KorvinStarmast Jan 5 at 22:30

Now GratefulDisciple is someone whose personal story I'd be really interested to hear.

And now Jon is moving on. Not related to the other two firings, but I'd bet dollars to pennies that it's connected to the CoC fiasco.
