The best thing about lavender is the smell of lavender. The second best thing about lavender is the word lavender, the third best thing about lavender is putting it in soup and chuckling to yourself when your kids ask what's in the soup, the fourth best thing about lavender is finding it in places you didn't expect. It's only the fifth best thing about lavender that is the color of the tiny purple flowers.
