@Piomicron Can you point me to any passages in the Bible that say that the dietary restrictions were for health reasons? I'm well aware that many centuries later those dietary laws were reinterpreted that way. But I can't think of any place in the Bible itself that says a word about the dietary laws being for the maintenance or preservation of the people's health.
