it's a manufacturing company downtown, they sent me the initial offer a few days ago but i wanted to get the confirmation email today to be 100% sure :D
there are some complications i need to think through before i just blindly accept offer, i.e. the location isn't near any good apartments so i'd have to commute. and i'm admittedly not too familiar with some of the software required and it would involve legacy codebasing which is a bit nightmarish. but the pay is solid, it's a nice company and the team and manager seems really cool. so i'm leaning heavily towards taking it.
and i probably won't get another offer this good in such a crap economy
it works out that the job would start at the end of May, because that gives me time to build myself back up from unemployment-sadness and learn about their tech stack
(also, it was slightly disturbing to realize during the afternoon that my gender identity had shifted to male, and I was still wearing the dress I put on in the morning)
I actually haven't had a shift in a while, was hanging at some spot between female and nonbinary, so it was quite surprising to have a shift. Part of the reason why I didn't put two and two together at first.
I really don't like thinking about my gender. I am not sure why. It makes me uncomfortable in a way I haven't felt since worrying about who I was attracted to many, many years ago.
I've only recently (sophmore-ish) managed to get past "don't I have to be attracted to guys, why aren't I attracted to guys, is something wrong with me, am I attracted to that guy" loop
>.> I believe 'borg tried to explain what attraction and love feels like somewhere here
