@TRiG wondering if that conversation was before or after my brother OD'ed, guessing after if it was on this site. In any event, I'm glad you're still around. And you're right not caring that my statements have real-world consequences is probably my worst fault. I thought it was humility, that what I say doesn't matter, but it's just stupidity.

@TRiG Just FYI, you're too close to crossing the Be Nice line for my liking. (Or maybe you've crossed it, but not enough that I would delete it outright.)

The gallows in my garden, people say,
Is new and neat and adequately tall;
I tie the noose on in a knowing way
As one that knots his necktie for a ball;
But just as all the neighbours–on the wall–
Are drawing a long breath to shout “Hurray!”
The strangest whim has seized me. . . . After all
I think I will not hang myself to-day.

To-morrow is the time I get my pay–
My uncle’s sword is hanging in the hall–
I see a little cloud all pink and grey–
Perhaps the rector’s mother will not call– I fancy that I heard from Mr. Gall

@PeterTurner Appreciate that response. I have seen you grow and exercise caution when you might have wanted to jump in head first.
@El'endiaStarman Ironically, it's people like this who have the gall to lecture us about the Code of Conduct and what "Be Nice" means.

Wooo, exciting things have been happening here aye?

@Birdie You could say that ;-)
I imagine there will be a lot of casual visitors dropping in and being like "what the heck happened in the last three weeks?!?"

I've been following some of the drama on StackOverflow and hackernews, thought I'd drop in to see what C.SE is doing
Pretty sad really!

Indeed.
@Nathaniel It's telling that statements like "transgenderism is evil" are so despised, but "that person over there is evil" is accepted.
"Be Nice," indeed.

@curiousdannii I've wondered for a while if that the LGBQ parts of LGBTQIA+ and the TIA parts are not categorically correctly associated. It's not implausible that transgenderism is a genuine medical condition, a consequence of the Fall generally rather than an individual's sin specifically.

@PeterTurner Is this common for the Catholic churches around you?
@Birdie I don't think anyone would dispute that gender dysphoria is a real condition, or that we should all seek to avoid exacerbating the dysphoria of anyone who has it.

@curiousdannii I haven't heard a priest specifically modify the liturgy for 10 years or so, and that was at a university parish.

Q: Do I need to reinstall the app?

KrisAfter the latest iOS update my phone and CSE are not cooperating like they used to. Is a reinstall of this site’s app in order?
