12:50 AM
@Grasper What a fun game for you then. I'm very glad you knew that already. Many people do not. Maybe you can continue to demonstrate what you know by finishing this riddle:
Sword from the mouth
Feet from the vat
Seven grains hearty and seven cows fat
Seven lights burning with eternal flame
One faith, one baptism, one Spirit...

4 hours later…
4:44 AM
@Grasper There is an abundance of claims of paranormal, out of body experiences and other clairvoyant journey's but there is a void of evidence that any of it occurs outside of the claimants' minds. Why do you think these DMT people are any different?

5:18 AM
@Andrew @Grasper I'm confused at where this conversation has gone?

6:06 AM
@fredsbend Me too, I was just going along with it. I'll take an answer from anyone on that riddle, if you fancy.

@Andrew I see vague allusions to Bible stories/verses, so I would guess the completion of the riddle is "one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." from Eph 4:6

That was a quick guess. finish the riddle.

@Andrew Do you mean feed from the vat?

@fredsbend and what would a riddle be without seemingly vague bits thrown in? There are no typos.
@El'endiaStarman no, feet is correct.

@Andrew: Sword from the mouth refers to the vision of Jesus in Revelation, as does "Feet from the vat", which refers to His feet glowing like molten bronze in a furnace. What also has bronze feet is the statue that Daniel saw in his vision.
The seven hearty grains and seven fat cows are also from visions, dreamt by the Pharaoh and interpreted by Joseph. Seven lights burning with eternal flame presumably refers again to Revelation, the seven lamps of the seven churches.
Am I on the right track?

6:24 AM
@El'endiaStarman you're on track to solving the riddle before you finish it.

@Andrew Well, your last line threw me off. It doesn't have a clear connection to the previous lines.
I have to know the point of the riddle before I can complete it correctly.
One Spirit is from Eph 4:4, one faith and one baptism is from Eph 4:5 (which also has one Lord).
@Andrew How many more lines are you expecting? Just one? Three?

@El'endiaStarman No more lines. You just need to finish the last. You don't have to start anything new.

@Andrew One Church?
Another callback to Revelation.

Go back to the beginning and consider the context.

@Andrew The context being your whole conversation with Grasper?
One Truth?

6:43 AM
@El'endiaStarman I think that would only distract, although you might consider my previous statements to him. How to finish the riddle isn't explicitly demonstrated in them.
@El'endiaStarman Its solution is.

Ah, so...would the completion be Who am I? ?
Or What, if that works better.

It begs that question, yes. You haven't pegged me as a very clever lyricist.
@El'endiaStarman Go back to the beginning and consider the context.

@Andrew Well, I'm a bit used to the riddles on Puzzling.SE, which don't often end in a similar question.
@Andrew Yes, it makes sense now.

@El'endiaStarman I mean that Who am I is not the ending, though the ending begs that question.

"I am what?" - kind of rhymes

7:02 AM
@bruisedreed well, some other lines rhyme, I don't see why this one shouldn't
@bruisedreed El'endia was very close.

and the answer is...
Judgment?

@bruisedreed The answer is Truth, actually.
20 mins ago, by Andrew
@El'endiaStarman Its solution is.

7:16 AM
@El'endiaStarman The solution of the riddle is the Truth, though it might be stated in terms of the context. The last line needs to be finished, then the solution is simple. The last line needs one more thing.

"What do all these have in common?" ? Or some variation.

@El'endiaStarman you've been closer.
@El'endiaStarman and even closer

..... One Person?

@El'endiaStarman So go back to the beginning and consider the context.
@El'endiaStarman closer yet

Dang! So close!
Considering spamming One with a whole lot of other words. :P
I also thought of One Vision and One God. Not sure which is more likely.
....!
One Revelation ?

7:22 AM
@El'endiaStarman context

Or One insight.

7:33 AM
@El'endiaStarman closest. Still, you don't take me for a very whimsical riddler if you think that's how I'd end it.

hmm
@Andrew One of Three?

@El'endiaStarman Heaven's no, all Three have it.

That sounds like it could be Wisdom, but I don't see...hmm. Does your completion include the word or concept of wisdom?
Like "He who has ears to hear, let him hear.", or something like that.
It takes wisdom to understand the true meaning behind all of those phrases too.
And it is wise to sell all of one's possessions to buy the field with treasure.

@El'endiaStarman The solution is the treasure.
sword from the mouth is The Word of God
feet of the vat are the Wrath of God and the New Wine
seven grains plenty and seven cows fat are years of plenty
Seven lights burning with eternal flame are the Church
Sword from the mouth,
Feet from the vat,
Seven grains hearty and seven cows fat,
Seven lights burning with eternal flame,
One faith, one baptism, one Spirit, ONE NAME.

8:02 AM
.
@El'endiaStarman Very good. Now, it's Saturday morning and I'm going fishing.
@El'endiaStarman the vat is a winepress

8:22 AM
@Andrew I had the image of a crucible in my mind.

@El'endiaStarman That, my friend, is an alchemist's tool. Perhaps, that is the point. @Grasper Don't use an alchemist's tools to solve Biblical riddles.

@Andrew Eh, it was close enough imagery. It also made sense with my interpretation of the rest of it at the time. I'll note you didn't bother to correct me.
Besides, I wasn't thinking of it as an alchemist's tool. It's a fairly similar shape.
I'm starting to think all that was a waste of time for me.

@El'endiaStarman Please, it's not a criticism. You should consider reading about alchemy.

And it's wayyyyyy past my bedtime. I should get to bed.

From a Christian perspective, you want to be able to spot its tools.
Peace.
