This is the best answer. To me this seems to be one of those things where people should realise that how people conduct themselves online on sites like Reddit or Youtube comment sections should not be a model for how you conduct yourself in real world interactions. Like, I've worked with unsufferable, smug, racist and ableist people during various jobs and it would never have crossed my mind to conduct myself in this way in a professional setting. It's bizarre.

Good answer - it also feels like the asker is very assuming of "privilege". The guy could easily be LGBT or on the autism spectrum for instance, and she might not know.
