I don't think you can @RebeccaChernoff or just don't create the temp post and forget about the mark up and just use the standard tags
I don't try to make posts fancy in Live Writer, just make image uploading quicker
and typing in Wordpress is a pain when you're used to Markdown
can't we just get rid of the whole WYSIWYG editor and replace it with Markdown? :P

Q: Do job postings exaggerate their requirements?

TesserexI feel like a reasonably qualified programmer, but a lot of job postings I run into make me feel otherwise. Almost all of them separate qualifications into requirements and desirables, but even the requirements part can be daunting. I've seen a lot of postings that say they require several years...

If the SU blog keeps growing and more users notice that we actually have a blog, we will probably get more traffic than some SE sites :\
the easiest way is to type it in a markdown editor, copy the result in Live Writer and be done with it :P
