That's a VERY GOOD start. It's got the popularity, within the site, and the popularity to try to bring others into the blog. Also, you can provide more detailed instructions

One thing to note: just because you've read all blog posts from the popular web app bloggers, doesn't mean your users have :-)

I actually think Web Apps has one of the easiest topics to blog about, because your topic blogs a lot themselves

so if they post something, simply follow up on it or give a counter point
