I am disappointed in the comment chains under the answers to the meta (as well as the tone of some answers.) We were given instructions for how to answer and how to engage with answers. Those instructions have been ignored and the users who ignored haven't been stopped, so here we are.
If the goal was to raise issues without engaging until they have their own questions, I think we have failed.

@NautArch I hear you. Maybe its a change in expectations or just the mod team, but we should maybe have shifted the wording slightly on some of that. I donno
As far as I see it, the goal is for that to be as useful as possible, and both long comment chains and lots of answers on the same topic diminish that. So finding the compromise between stating something in a comment and talking past eachother in answer isn't trivial
