@KronoS: a topic that may be interesting for a future blog post:

Q: Why is Windows default IP address 169.xx.xx.xx?

I got this the other day and fixed the issue, but was wondering why Microsoft chose this address as default. Why not 1.xx.xx.xx or 255.xx.xx.xx? Did one guy at Microsoft say "Hey, pick a number 1 to 255....who just said 169?! Ok we're going with that for our Windows default IP address"

I had suscribed to the blog via RSS a number of weeks ago and thought I had seen an article about the email obsfucation but it said 'draft' in the dashboard, so that's why I was asking.
