@SimonSheehan We've told him plenty of times, I don't think there's any use doing it again.
@SimonSheehan Although he was right there: meta.superuser.com/posts/4321/revisions

Hello! Do y'all want this question?
-1
Q: How could I identify the usable Cat-5 pairs in this mess of torn-out wiring?

Kaelin ColclasureWhen the previous occupants vacated my new lab space they did a number on the Cat-5 wiring that had previously been installed. This is definitely a case where a picture is worth a thousand words: The baseboard jacks at the other end of this mess appear to be okay, but how do I go about figurin...

This is really getting beyond ridiculous. Can this user's edit privilege be removed?
@KevinVermeer We officially deal with home networking, seems like a question we could find a new home for. I'd wait for a mod to give you the thumbs up though.

@slhck Me?

@iglvzx No, of course not you.
See the posts in this room from yesterday.

@slhck Okay. In this chat? Which posts, my friend?

42 more rep and kino has full editing privileges. Given the frequent pointless tag edits in the past weeks, I suggest the diamond team keep an eye open regarding abuse of editing privileges.
Sorry, wasn't yesterday, but it's right there above :)

@slhck I see.
Can a specific privilege be revoked without touching reputation?

8:33 PM
No, I'm pretty certain this is not possible. Not as a regular measure.

Here we go. Half the front page.
44 edits in 13 minutes. Impressive.

I can't even remember early Garrett being this bad.

@kinokijuf Seriously, don't go on these mass retag sprees while the meta discussion is still going on. Plus, it is far less destructive for mods to see which tags can be mass renamed and manually fixing up the few that conflict

9:56 PM
We're at 110 edits in 28 minutes. I don't think he cares @random. My comment apparently didn't reach him either.
URGE TO RETAG earned this badge 1 time

This is brilliant.

@random did you rename him or did you do it yourself?

@nhinkle Looks like it happened on a suspension trigger

Har.
Well that's fun.

Only 9 days? WTF?

10:09 PM
We rarely do more than 7 days for a first suspension if it's someone who generally means well (i.e. isn't a spammer) but is just doing things wrong and not fixing it.

Final results are in: 137 edits in 36 minutes.

@DanielBeck YU NO USE PNG FOR SCREENSHOT?!

@nhinkle Want me to report a bug to MSO against their chat optimization? It's PNG on my machine, 1.2MB.

@DanielBeck o_O really? It got converted by the imgur uploader or something?

@nhinkle No idea. Uploaded it here in chat. Didn't even notice it was JPG before you asked, and double-checked. It's PNG on my system. I have multiple screenshots like this if you want them.
I can upload them as PNG via the site, and link them here, if you want prettier versions.
Oh, before I forget it: Told you so.
;-)

Yeah, I know, it's retagging and not editing, but hey, still good, no matter what the reason!

i got it up in png, but mine's only about 500 kB

Well, you can edit tags without full edit privileges, so we've seen the mass-retagging by him before.

IDK what software you're using that generates such massive PNGs

@nhinkle That one's too late already. Just a sec.

10:17 PM
Maybe try a save-as from a sane editor?

Still a JPG

What
Odd.

It looks like there's a size limit at which it converts to JPG. Try re-saving from an image editor, and maybe it'll recompress it to a lower file size.
Our images are almost identical, but your original file is 4x as large
Anyhow... off to work.

The user is still named URGE TO RETAG on Meta btw.

10:28 PM
It should update in the hour given how rep shadows
