@leslietownes Is it normal for me to, somehow, enjoy watching my teacher cry?

maybe not? why are they crying?

This happened when I was in my tenth grade. He asked us to write a eulogy for ourselves, assuming the identity of others.
Most of my classmates chose to write as their parents, siblings, or friends. I was the only one who wrote it from the perspective of my teacher. I read it in front of the class, realized that the point of view is his all along. Then he cried
How un-normal is it that I seemed to enjoy it?

that strikes me as unusual, but maybe it makes more sense if one was there to experience it.

He was my teacher for 4 years, to add more info
Wait, it's 3 years. But we still see each other very often as there are only a few teachers and some of them teach subjects in different grade levels

that's cool. i haven't talked to any of my high school teachers in a long time.
demographics were kind of weird at my school, a lot of the teachers were in their 50-60s and there were a handful of teachers in their mid-late 20s and nobody in the middle. a lot of my teachers are gone now.

5:33 AM
I think he was at his 20s at that time. 25? I don't know, but maybe
But yes, I made him cry.
I don't know, but I felt satisfied when I saw him cry. Although I don't have an idea if it's real or just an act
I was the type of student where I'd rather do something as an individual instead of a group
He advised me to be more "open". I have no idea what that means, though. So I included it in the eulogy.
Wait, let me try to send the eulogy here
I remember seeing him for the first time, and it was the day of their interview. I asked him to read a paragraph, and that is when I asked him to read it again. I wish I could still ask him to read that paragraph again.

I knew [me] from the 7th grade. He is just a small kid sitting in front of the class. I remember seeing him sing with others. I remember every moment with him. I remember asking everybody to open up, but still see him didn't. I still want to know him more.

But now, things changed. I can't hear his voice anymore. I can't see him.
@leslietownes I think this is it.
Oh, the grammar. Forgive me for any issues with grammar.

5:53 AM
it's a weird assignment. if i were a teacher, i'd steer clear of something like that. you ask people to think about death, you never know what you're going to get.

6:10 AM
@leslietownes Yes, but he stated that someday, we'd be writing something like that
Some of my classmates wrote eulogies where they died because of suicide
It was a day bursting with such mournful and regretful emotions

6:25 AM
I am mentally underaged than most of my classmates. I tend to hangout and play with kids underaged than me. most of my classmates don't even talk to me.Do I have a mental issue?
Or am I just too insecure?
Maybe both, but if people don't want to talk to me, they should clearly state it and the reason behind it. If they are too uncomfortable talking to me, they can write it in a piece of paper. I will leave them alone. I don't want to be a thorn in their life.

@Prithubiswasleftmse I don't think you are too insecure. Maybe it's just that you are aware of what you are yourself and too conscious about it

@leslietownes Wow!
The federal trial for the three officers in at the scene while Floyd was dying, has reached the jury today. They are deliberating; apparently this is a trial as to whether or not any, some, or all of the three violated Floyd's Civil Rights.

I passed this link on to US residents in the Mathematics Chat, but thought you might like to know about four free covid tests. It may take anywhere from 7-12 days for them to arrive, but it's handy as hell! Legit link https://www.covidtests.gov/
@soupless Let me know when you're up? I saw your request above.

@hyper-neutrino Good job! Sometimes we get lucky, sometimes not so much; but strategy is also important. @leslie said something to the effect that the lower the number of tries to solve wordle, the greater the chance that luck was a factor (example pure luck on first try, but chances a lot of luck on two tries, a luck on third try. I stand by: solving the word is a success.

yeah. it also depends on play style. if you insist on 'hard mode' style rules and are still guessing by word 5 or word 6, luck also plays a huge role there.
if it's down to 1 letter that could be one of N things, and you have fewer than N guesses, it's all luck, basically.
unless you break the hard mode rules and just try to eliminate more than one possibility at a time.

@leslietownes Absolutely! S H A _ E was an example of such a word!!

OK. we've had a bit of rain on and off, which she finds really exciting.

11:55 PM
@leslietownes Cool! (Better than being frightened!)
