@amWhy You were talking about the moderators consensus on the meta post. I recently went on to meta and did a lot of reading, and you know what, on the whole, despite a few small issues, I actually think the individual opinions of the moderators generally agree a fair bit, and on some issues I see them defending the quality stance brilliantly, especially this thread
07:19
I personally think that some moderators should still come out and be more vocal, however, on their views. The BEST thing that can happen is that all the moderators view the post regularly and address concerns of users who visit the post. My only worry though is that seeing the meta post, any detractor would feel very cornered, and I sincerely don't want to alienate people, I'd rather address their concern than corner them.
The point is that there's an overwhelming majority in agreement of the policy, so any person not in agreement is not going to want to face the hurricane, and I wish people were more braver with their counter-opinions.

By the way, I want to share that I find myself laughing at this question, because TheSilverDoe and I answered almost the same time, differing only in seconds.

@quid Since your name is included in the Word Search Challenge (camera right center), you are required to contribute to the word search. Please send word to @Asaf too, because his name can be formed from the search words, too! ;D

^^ did you miss that @amWhy ?
@quid Oh, yes I did! ;P You got me!
Please pass word to @Asaf, @quid, that he must, by virtue of newly created rules mandating that any user whose name can be formed by letters in a word(s) search, must contribute to said word search. (Just wait until I choose ALEXANDER THE GREAT ;D
@amWhy Asaf says he does not like work games. I think he just is not good at them. ;D

@quid Hah! I had pondered that one, but I thought FORNICATION was about as risque as I wanted to get!
TENTACLES
@quid I don't like work games either. Games are supposed to be fun, not work!
:P
PLANTATION
@XanderHenderson that was a fun typo
@XanderHenderson SOURED, you are! ;D Now I'm having fun!
@amWhy there would be worse
19:33
@quid I'm sure there could be...
Maybe I should not degrade the standards too much.
Why was QUID mentioned yet not CUTE. This clearly goes together. ;-)

ARG! I really, really believe in the work of our "Diversity Equity and Inclusion" working group, but their are days when I feel like they miss the forest for the trees. For example: the conversation today was "Well, we can't really have people wear 'I'm vaccinated!' lapel pins, because that might make some people feel excluded."
SO THE F... WHAT?!
People who refuse to get vaccinated DESERVE to feel excluded. Frankly, they should stay home and not expose the rest of us to their plague. :\
hey, sorry to bother y'all - can someone reject my edit on this? there was an open bug report on Meta.SE which is why i tried to undo my own edit which fixed the example being used; however, the bug report is completed now so the formatting fix is fine to keep
@hyper-neutrino Done. But this was an odd chatroom in which to make that request. :P
I'm sorry, I am not familiar with math.SE. I don't know what your main chatroom is; this was active and from the name I thought (apparently mistakenly) that this was a fine place to ask :P
The Math Mods' Office is more for official business.
This is our social hall. We drink beer here. :D
ah, that would've been a much better place to ask :P my apologies
23:53
No worries. We fixed ya right up. ;)
Now that you are here: beer?
heh, not of drinking age where i live yet (just a couple more months though!)
but figuratively, sure :)
(I won't say anything if you don't, @hyper-neutrino !) ;-)
@hyper-neutrino According to your user profile, your name is "Alexander". We are going to have to change that. Too many of those running around already. Since you don't drink, I would suggest just removing the "Ale", but this would also cause confusion.
@hyper-neutrino Don't worry about @Xander He actually thinks he's funny. Just full of Dad jokes, is all! We like to humor him sometimes!
@Xander ;P
hey, I found that quite funny myself too :P (perhaps just an Alexander thing? lmao)
23:57
That's "hash tag dad jokes" to you!
Now git offa mah lawn!
