@TeresaLisbon I don't know... One of them will certainly will win (has score of 1 out of 40, but I don't know enough about six of the candidates, besides Pedro and Asaf.

@amWhy No no, I was just having some fun, I'll take the uneducated guess that three candidates are going to go head to head , very close, and the rest are going to fade way in an obvious fashion. I'll also guess that exactly one of Asaf and Pedro is going to be close, and the other is going to be part of the "rest", although of course it's such a wild guess, as a detective I should be doing better! I'll read the responses and make a more informed guess now.

@TeresaLisbon Of course, I understand! Imagine how nail-biting mod elections on this site can be. One almost wished to take part of the day off from work, or sleep! For those very involved on this site, anyway.

@amWhy Just found out that this user has been suspended, who wrote the MathJax beginner tutorial. I have no clue what they may have done wrong, I thought they were a quite good fit on meta! Anyway, it just came as a bit of a surprise, I was redirecting someone to that page and then I saw it.

@TeresaLisbon It looks like they were suspended on the main site, for "rule violations" (almost impossibly broad to know the infraction based on that). (Any user suspended is also suspended from meta.)

@amWhy I see, oh, wonder what the rule violation must have been to be fair, at least on meta I did not see anything that'd raise a flag regarding rule violation.

Looks like it occurred on March 28th. It is unusual to suspend someone for four months, but if it wasn't the first suspension, the next tend to get longer.

My word, four months! Good luck to them, that tutorial has come in very handy, I'm asking new users to put up reviews when they visit the page, none really went so far to be honest. Of course, 95% of our work ends up becoming nothing to shout about, like that day when I made a user reopen their question with 20 back-and-forth queries, and then bam, one answer and the question got self-deleted.

@TeresaLisbon Note that @Asaf is the quickest in accessing and reporting election results, he beats the *paid Community managers every time in elections on math.se, and no doubt has and will do the same on MO. He's that good!

@TeresaLisbon I know. It's hard, because I know who would make a good mod there, no moderator the others, and I know one I could never vote for, nor did I ever vote for them here. The former mods here, and will stick around here. The latter would immediately resign here, which would be good for math.se, but bad for MO. I should stop while I'm at it, but for sure, @Asaf deserves to be a mod there. If you read the statements from both our mods there, you see who's got the interests of both sites

in mind, and the one who is looking only for a challenge to meet his own professional growth...(what about service??)

I'm interpreting their candidate statements, and I think pretty honestly.

@amWhy Yeah, took a look for some time, it's clear who has their heart in the right place. I don't agree with the idea of moderators serving indefinitely though. Reading a certain sentence in Kohl's comments regarding this , gave me a sense of agreement.

@TeresaLisbon Ironic, I was just commenting opposing indefinite terms, on our sister room!

@amWhy Haha, yeah, I'm also guilty of putting comments in both rooms, but now we are approaching the business end, 5 minutes to go , oh, heart skips beats. I revise my prediction, I think three people are going to make it at a canter with the fourth well behind, and exactly one of these is going to be a math.se mod. Waiting to see this crumble in some time.

Four minutes!.... Asaf has typically posted results first on meta, I think. Not sure, but I'm opening the meta site to MO as well!.
